Some say that any publicity is good publicity, but I doubt the film "Dungeons and Dragons" encouraged anyone to rush out and start playing the table-top game. Do you think that this MMO will be good or bad for D&D?

if its anything like the movie it will be bad....really bad
Yeah I agree that if its like the movie it will blow. If the MMORPG is good it will reflect well on the PnP version, but if it fails then anyone who hasnt played PnP will probaly have a bitter taste in their mouth afterwards.

ya as long as they don't screw it all to heck lol
The Eberron Campaign Setting is exactly the reason why I will not be playing D&D Online.
In absolutely no way has Wizards or Hasbro given me any reason to continue enjoying Dungeons and Dragons like I used to.
I would have prefered to see Dragonlance or Greyhawk make the cut.
dragonlance is too novel driven to have a have a mmo tho greyhawk would be a decent choice
Blue lipstick is always bad in any situation...
EDIT: But seriously, I think they picked a relatively new campaign setting so that they wouldn't alienate existing fans who might think they'd bastardized their world.
I would have loved it to be in Forgotten Realms, in Faerun.

D&D is good for D&D online.
D&D online may turn to be good for D&D, but it is highly unlikely, the command is high.
