Spent 5 days of my 10 day free trial dealing with this message - finally found a fix on another forum. Posting it here for others to try if they're having the same problem:
Symptoms:
Error "The patch client encountered corruption in the file [art2.myp/408d1a1290ff7a2e] on the remote server (1 total errors encountered). Please try the patch operation again." after running the patch. Doing a full scan, uninstalling and reinstalling, and deleting the art2.myp file don't work.
Soloution:
1.Find your warhammer files that you have downloaded, find Patch_User
2.Open it in a text modifer (I.E Notepad)
3.Paste this in
<UserConfig>
<ResourceSystem>
<ModuleOption module="http" option="UseRandomNumberPostfix" value="true" />
</ResourceSystem>
<Login name="USERNAME" />
</UserConfig>
4. Save the file.
***Make sure you put in your account name where it says USERNAME***
This fix was not created by myself, I found it on another forum located http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=315118 the author of that post claims to have gotten it from another place as well, so it's just passing the word.
Hope that helps,
vpr

I did, and when you open up the patcher it probably says, uploading patch 1.1.2 right?
Go to fileplanet to download the trial, I just googled warhammer online free trial and its like the 5th one down.
and just so you know, you can get another free trial with your same account, I've gotten a free trial with my account that I paid for when the game came out.
but go to fileplanet and get that one, and it will patch after doanloading, but it will only take maybe an hour to patch. and it patched it to 1.3.2
thats just a way around it all together.
My Thoughts on Content Locust
