NDA lifted ppl. Can someone give constructive and analytical feedback about the game? i know there have been many threads (mostly negative ) about the state of the game thus forming a general idea, but some more in depth analysis of the pros and cons would be very much appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Pros:
Casual friendly, lots of quests, study system (passive and offline training of stats and recipes and such), good communication from devs and community manager, relatively fun game, library (ingame database)
Cons:
poor server performance (network lag), limited amount of classes, talent trees feels like a WoW ripoff, no race choices at launch, unpolished, poor customization of the UI, poor camera which will cause trees, buildings etc to obscure your view
Pros:
Interesting takes on the classes, crafting is a nice twist on the usual too, studies are very handy, the consignment system when in will be handy. PvE where you actually run a risk of dying. Great community (Last night quick check in the channel was average age 30+, I was one of the younger ones). Devs/Owners actually communicate.
Good connection, I am running at between 70-200ms from Denmark to their arizona server
Cons:
Gfx lack a bit of polish. Bugs still to be removed, more patches due before head start though. Cannot comment on instances as they are not in until the world event is completed. Cannot comment on pvp as that is not in until later, as PvP abilities will have different effects than PvE so they are making sure PvE is all good.
Overall...I am getting it, there is a MAJOR lack of good pve games coming out atm, and this one might just slip under the radar...its a word of mouth thing at the moment, I like niche games, and it is what I have been looking for atm since leaving WoW.
Have you tried Runes of Magic ?
I was in the beta...couldnt get into it, and the whole F2P RMT thing puts me off
I also don't care for RoM. Was in beta also and is just another Asian MMO which aren't my cup of tea.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
The game looks like an early WoW alpha build. Same ui, same skill trees, same character create screen, same names for some abilities, same death mechanics, even the some of the same art assets. And on top of all that, the game is not close to being finished. How anyone pays money for this is beyond me.

Interesting take since this game reeks of RoM only big difference? RoM is polished, works well, F2P, etc, etc, etc...
Maybe the 1st of December will be enough for Alganon, but I don't see it.
Just because it has a name attached to it doesn't make it good, of course his other game was a failure also so maybe it means something after all.
Hmm... I noticed I got a late beta invite in my email over the weekend, with the beta going another month I might give it a whirl and see what the fuss is about.
Some parts sound promising, and I can overlook much if the overall gameplay is fun.
We'll see. Glad to see NDA is down though, be nice to read what people besides NDA breakers think about the game.

For a more in depth but still general view check my thread "My take on alganon". I think im pretty unbiased and really giving my opinion on the game after have played pretty much every game on the market.

Hmm..The game is way more polished than Alganon and it's basically the same game..
There is no Real money trade in RoM, I guess you are refering to the item shop and you do not need it in the long run, besides what is the diffrence to buying a bigger back pack compared to subscribing to Alganon for 15 dollars..
I'm sure Alganon will be made FTP eventually when they realise that very few players will play a game in such bad shape as Alganon..

I wouldn't say there are any pro's to this game. It is a copy and paste of WoW.
In fact I would say they took the files from a private WoW server and used them as a base for the game. After that it was minor editing of the actual code.
It's not the bigger backpacks that worry me about RoM, it's the spending forty-odd dollars tiering, drilling, statting and refining a weapon to the optimum. Don't get me wrong it's a fun game and impressed the hell out of me for what it offers for free - but I'll never be serious about a game that is so fundamentally based on "character power = money invested".
