This is Closed Beta sign up and it's been open for a month or 2 now. The recent news is that Allods now has a proper website as the CB is due to start soon - i really hope i get in - pretty please Gpotato people
I've had a peek at the Russian version of the game and it looks like it's going to be a real great game The quality of it feels like a P2P game. From screenshots i thought it looked a lot like Wow but in reality the graphics are much more detailed, Screenshots don't do it Justice.
The character models are really highly detailed, and really well animated. They are really unique looking too. There are 28 classes in the game - obviously being russian i cannot tell which ones i've tried but they all seemed to have some sort of unique battle mechanics, for example i tried some sort of elementalist mage, where if i repeatedly used a spell of the same element i was able to build up the elemental power to unleash a really powerful Elemental attack - there seemed to be no limit on how much it built up...which was cool I've tried a few classes and they all seemed to have some unique feature like this.
If you pick Gibberlings - you get to create 3 unique characters, customising them and naming all 3 individually, they control as one character. I made them as a warrior class and found it fun how one of them used the sword, another the shield and the 3rd a bow, it was great seeing the shield guy jump in front to block an attack then the sword guy jump back in to continue attacking.
For the most part i struggled understanding what was happening but i found :-
I'm sure this game is going to be a success.
Cheers
Paul
so if it looks like wow, is it just another wow clone?
Yes, sadly another WoW clone, developed by russians( never a good sign) and not nearly the budget WoW had 50 years ago when it was being made. Nuff said.
I've been waiting for this to be released for a long time now. The graphics look VERY smooth.
Hopefully It'll be as good as it looks (y)
