A new iPhone app for for the recently released post-apocalyptic MMOG, Fallen Earth, has been announced!

The new app will allow for players to log in to Fallen Earth through their iPhone's and perform a number of tasks:

...the application will allow Fallen Earth players to view their in-game character stats, mutations and trade skills as well as provide access to equipped and stored items. Players will also have the capacity to view maps for each of the three sectors in the 1,000 square kilometers of the game's landscape.

...Players will be able to manage their crafting queue, view recipes, craft items, buy and sell items at the Auction House as well as interact with friends, Clan members and other online players through multiple chat channels, mail and private messaging.

The app is scheduled for release in early 2010. Thanks go out to user Calundann for the tip!

That does sound pretty cool. To bad I think Apple and the iPhone is the devil!

That's a very cool app. The creators should be happy! Awesome inter-connectedness.

I agree that Apple and 95% of it's shiny-bauble-wares are evil crap sold to blind followers, but *shrug* what can you do. They're a perfect example of creativity and capitalism at its best. They've created something that a large portion of society find compelling enough to buy. Just because we don't like their product doesn't mean others won't :)

Philosophy aside, excellent app. Managing crafting queues is HUGE. I hope a ton of players find out about this app.

Wonder if there's an app like this for Eve-Online?

EvE Online has recently announced they are doing a similar thing. It looks like FE may beat EvE to the punch!

Another reason I am glad I purchased FE. Keep up the great work guys!

I wonder how long it will be until someone does something similar for Andriod (Googles platform). I would quote the commercial ("Everything iDon't, Driod does") but it doesn't quite work :)

    - Case: Thermaltake Kandalf Black Chassis
    - CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz (OC'd 4.2GHz on Water Cooling)
    - Memory: Mushkin 8Gb (4x 2Gb) DDR3 1600Mhz
    - HDD: Dual Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM
    - GFX: (2) XFX Radeon HD 5870 in CrossFire - New upgrade! :)

Who says they won't do it for Android too? They already said iPhone was the first and that other platforms like Windows Mobile and Symbian will follow.

    Cheers

I just gave some examples. They just said that "other platforms will follow in time...". That's all.

    Cheers

Funny how a huge step forward for technology and gamers quickly turns into a "this platform sucks" discussion.

I personally think that is very cool stuff.  And it is no different than lacing your favorite drug with another to make it super addictive.

    Sincerely, awesome job guys.
