i went to eb today and was gonna put 5$ down to get the preorder kit to play in the beta weekends so i could decide if i want to buy the game or not. anyways the retards at eb said they hadn't got the preorder discs in yet heh

That's kinda odd. I got my preoder from EB about 3 or 4 days ago.

And as far as I know, the preoders have been out since late last year. Dunno why that store didn't have them.

Each store sets their own rate.

At EB Games when I bought mine, I could put as much as I wanted to as down payment. Remember, you aren't paying for the pre-order kit. You are putting a down payment on the game itself when it releases. It gives the companies an idea of how much to order of the final release.

Anyway, at EB games, I put down 5 dollars. The pre-order kit was/is free. Then when the final release comes out, they apply whatever you put down as down payment to the final price. For example, I put down 5 dollars. When the game comes out, it will be 49.99. I bring my pre-order receipt in, and they take the 5 dollars off the price... so I would pay 44.99 plus taxes to buy the game.

That is generally how most companies deal with pre-ordering a game. The kit that comes with it isn't what you are buying, it's a thanks from the company (software company, not retailer) for agreeing to buy the game. That way they'll have a better idea of how many to produce and ship.

Most stores require a certain minimum payment ($5 minimum at EB for example), and each store has their own minimum amounts.

Sorry that you couldn't get a preorder package. They've been available since mid-September. If you provide the store name and address, we have a nice lady in our Sales Department who does "spot checks" for availability and I believe she would call and try to find out why they're having issues getting the package on the shelf.

Sometimes they run out, but we have more and can fill the orders within a matter of days. So please let us know the location and we'll try to see if we can get more copies in your area.

IMO it's an incredible deal. All that comes in the pre-order is free. The deposit you pay, is for the game itself, the preorder is just a bonus. And all the stuff that comes with it, has made me anticipate the release even more! I've distributed the key out, and have spread word of the game to a lot of people I know.

I also had the same problem for some time. I went to many EBs and most of the workers had no clue what I was talking about. The EBs that were knowledgeable of what I spoke of said they had been sold out for a long time (seeing as the packages have been out for awhile) and wouldnt get more in because they were preorder packages not games, or something like that. W/e I didnt need that bs in my life, so I finally went to best buy because, although they arent a store specialized for gaming, they are a bigger store so they might get more in stock than other stores. The best buy had about 6 copies left so I preordered the game. Even the employee didnt fully understand the concept, she thought the kit was the game, so I explained to her what it was. Finally, I got home and looked at all the cool stuff and almost wet myself remembering the last BWE I got off a friends pass, and now being able to play ALL the upcoming BWEs!

My best advice for you if you have no luck finding it in stores is to just try to get free key codes anyway possible (Websites, friends, magazines). If all else fails get the package from the EB website. Good luck.

I got my preorder from EB, and all I had to do was put down a minimum of $5 up to full value of game, then they credit it towards my purchase when I buy game.

The EB I go to is great. Extremely knowledgeable staff and they can find almost anything out for me.

I preordered my copy of the game there..and its fast, (kinda) cheap and the transport costs are low..

Actually, alot of stores are out of them because of the demand, I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a really appealing game with an awesome subscription fee of little more than nothing, which is nothing..., and the gameplay is fun as heck! But yea, stores don't have unlimited supplies, and lately alot of stores have been waiting on new shipments, the EB here was out too when I checked.

My local EB was out of them too, but I still pre-ordered payed in full,not having the package is no big deal if Feb 4th is going to be the last BWE then GW will be out soon.

It's not vital to have, however, you will miss out on their exclusive preorder in-game item, and mini-strategy guide. Some of the other content, like images can be found on the website however, so you don't miss out on all of it.
