Hard to say whether OP is a shill paid to anonymously sh*t on other games in order to stop player bleed from the "favored" game or maybe he just got dumped by his GF.

Either way OP's opinion as worthless as his post is longwinded.

FE is one of the best things out there right now. Just finished testing it out and decided to sub.

    Why? It's FUN. Go figure...

The AP exploits were few and far between, and eventhough I "exploited" without being banned for it (I got 1 extra AP off a quest I accidentally repeated, and could've kept repeating but didn't.. they fixed that issue) it doesn't matter in the end

Level cap dictates skill cap,  at 45, my melee will be as high as anyone elses melee.  My strength will be as high as anyone elses strength.  if I were pistoleer, my pistol would be as high as anyone elses pistol.

So wheres the advantage?  So and so has an extra couple points in mutations?  The mutations are capped by level.  Even with all the extra AP points you can get, and exloiting another 50 points, you won't be able to max an extra stat more then halfway at best.

Truthfully, at level 19 I was PvPing with level 27s and winning,  at level 26 I could hang with 35s,  and when capped at level 45, anyone with half a brain could see that an extra few AP isn't going to min/max a character so much that they will ultimately rule the server with their extra AP points.   It makes me wonder if the OP even played the game past 13.

That OP is about as fail as it gets. There's a whole slew of things to hate about FE, but you waste our time with a WOT harping about a lone game bug. Gah, make a list next time.

I cut down the rest of the OP's post to simply state in regards to this paragraph that its quite obvious the OP has never played EVE.  not saying thats a bad thing, but in EVE no one will ever be "equal" to anyone who started their account a week before them  - provided they continue to play actively.  That said - i can imagine joining a game where i know "i will never be at their level", as i played in such a sandbox for a good 2 years.

To honestly believe that these folks (not that i agree with the "exploit" per say) have better armor is ludicris.  Think about it a moment.  At the present time the highest armor needs 164 armor use skill.  Thats possible by every character focused on combat without an added need for the extra AP points your stating.  The only thing i see this allowing is a couple extra points in Willpower (which i agree could make it a sligly less fair PVP playing field but not by much) or a few extra points in crafting, which doesnt really affect anything at all that will seriously affect the overall gameplay.

Do i believe they need to ban these folks or do away with the extra earned AP?  Sure.  Do i think that makes this game "Bad" not at all.  Maybe i just have a little more sympathy for an indy company working to create a good game, but i personally think they have far more "immediate" items that need looked at and patched such as memory leaks (they did fix quite a few of these as with this past patch which is great!!) and things that will largely deter initial buyers that currently had or have no idea about this AP bug and just want to play a stable game.

Lets be honest, the AP bug really only shows its affect to folks who have maxed their characters out at this point which from my understanding is a small %.  The fact that the devs are focusing on the majority over the minority is nothing different from any other MMO company.  Fix the "big" bugs first, then work the little ones.  This "exploit" was initially big, but they have since fixed the situation so that no one else can claim these extra AP.  the fact that they havent come down on those with the extra AP yet, isnt as big an issue as some things and provided they eventually come back to this situation i think they're doing just fine.

In some ways, Fallen Earth reminds me of Age of Conan. Both have a fully voiced tutorial which degrades afterwards. Both have a limited story line (AoC - desitiny quest, FE - Clone death quest).

However, Fallen Earth is scrambling hard to correct bugs and game deficiencies as soon as possible. Kudos to the devs for this.

Fallen Earth has a great crafting system, one I have been looking for since the days of Ultima Online. Since UO, I have always wanted to be able to craft everything and now I can once again. Will that adversely affect the economy? Dunno yet. There are lots of players that aren't interested in crafting, so I feel there will be a market for crafted goods regardless. Even if there isn't a market, I still enjoy the satisfaction of wearing armor, bearing weapons and riding mounts that I crafted myself.

I only played the 15 day free trial, but I enjoyed what little time I spent in the game. Why don't I subscribe? Since the AoC launch fiasco I promised myself I would not sub a game until it has been released for at least 6 months, and I remain true to that promise. I will sub sometime after that time, whenever the initial price drops to $20.00. If the initial price doesn't reach that mark, oh well. I liked what I saw, but no mmorpg is worth $50.00 up front plus a monthly fee.

Bottom line, the op is being very biased in a negative way about a game which has much going for it and can only improve in the future.

Theres a difference between doing something twice and doing something 15 times. Yes it would be great if everything was working from the start, but, the bans weren't permanent and theres no telling how many of those AP points the exploiters actually kept.  As I was stating before though, having 50 more AP points would be nice, but it seriously does not give you an "unfair" advantage over any other competent player.  Also, there weren't "tons" of exploitable AP missions,  there were only a handful of AP missions that were truly exploitable, the others revolved around server crashes.  All in all, as stated before, they were few and far between.

And this is why I don't buy new releases. I really wanted to with this one, I really liked the Beta, but after WAR, I can't bring myself to try anymore new releases.

I been around the block along time with these mmorpg's and definetly feel your pain there Astralglide, but it is the way of the mmo market. Its called HYPE and we all fall victim to it, hook, line and sinker.

There are more people playing mmorpgs today  than when Everquest was released and even more than Ultima Online.

World of Warcraft opened up huge potential for mmorpgs now.

We are spoiled in todays gaming society and expect 110% in any type of game we buy, whether a mmo or a fps.

I say this.. If you want 110% in your games you buy, you might as well go to console gaming, pickup your PS3, Wii or Xbox 360.

I came here to read about the negative sides of Fallen Earth, and this definately made me decide to NOT return to this game.

In the early years when Ultima first started, I had a lot of trouble with it. Being new to online gaming I didn't understand a lot of what was going on. Then I read a post just like this one saying how bad the game was. I believed it. I quit.

Woe is me. I came back a year later to have 6 years of the greatest gaming I'd ever experienced. Now you can argue this, but Ultima isn't the issue. The ISSUE IS because of some arrogant, whiny SOB that I believed I missed out on one year of a great game. The early years of that game were by far the best, imho.

So what I'm saying is, don't listen to the nay sayers. Find out for yourself. And no I'm not playing this game, yet, but I will. I learned from these games it's best to wait a little while, but getting in early even if frustrating at times can have many really great advantages you'll just kick yourself for missing out on.

Buy it on Ebay or something if you can't afford it, and play the hell out of it before you call it a pile of dog poo. It's a great concept that I really like, survival in a post-apoc world. Maybe somebody's finally done it right? I don't know yet but I'm willing to give it a chance.

Fallen Earth  Is the best  MMO I've seen in years. Its about time someone made a game that's not a wow clone and got away from the swords and Sorcery crap.

I love Post Apocalyptic stuff like this. This game is very unique and very well done. Its also very fun. and All of the bugs will and are getting fixed.
