What is a good EvE alternative.

in EVE Online
I just dropped my EvE accounts which I have had since 2005. Game got very repetitive and boring. What is a game I should jump to that involves trade and exploration. Any ideas?

I'm playing Darkfall atm on my EVE break (started playing in '05 as well). Love it. I find myself exploring so much more than I did in EVE. You always have that same rush of adrenaline though, when you find yourself face to face with some unknown enemy. Economy needs a lot work to be frank. No comparison to EVE here.
The game is amazing but is still far too young to be a worthy supplement to EVE. It has the foundation, but needs time to get all juicy like EVE has over the years.
If you're like me however, and were sorry you missed out on the early days of EVE, then I would highly recommend getting your hands dirty with Darkfall. A new expansion is coming in a week or so too. A nice one at that.
I've been playing wurm and ryzom for the things Eve doesn't offer.
I love how darkfail calles patches to fix their broken game...expansions...
Good luck, Eve is rather unique. Still my fav game I just don't have the time to put into it.
I played since beta, now I'm in Warhammer for the pvp, but really just waiting for something better. Black Prophecy sounds promising, but still a long way away..

Yeah I know its strange isnt it. Mythic did the same thing with Warhammer online. The game released incomplete with 4 of the classes missing. Several months later when Mythic finally started added those missing classes into their unfinished product, its players got all excited over these "new additional classes" that Mythic were so very kind to put into the game free of charge. People are easily fooled.

Still in early Beta but looks interesting and has a lot of the things that made eve great in it as well. Not sure if it has exploration though, still trying to get into beta myself. Probably not good for something your looking for straight away but keep an eye out for it later down the track.

Real life brings repetition and pointlessness too. The only thing real life offers is Great graphics. Its kinda expensive too and way to dependent on the cash shop. Totally pay to win as well. No thank you. Ill stick to my games.

I downloaded this for trial and I find the application very odd. Once you start installing, r.exe will load and scan every other app in memory, also it will try to access recursive dns service.
Non-MMO, I'd recommend Galactic Civilizations 2. I've heard Sins of a Solar Empire is pretty good too, but I don't really like RTS.

Darkfall is just a noob gankfest from the moment you leave town which EVE is not in any way. The way CCP setup pvp in EVE is just brilliant and logical. The way Darkfall ffa pvp is setup well it was done in the same failed fashion as other ffa pvp games.
Fallen Earth is just amateurish on several levels.
