FYI: These keys also work for previous trial accounts as well.

For anyone still on the fence after the previous trial and would prefer to continue using the same account (with the same characters) as opposed to creating a new account for this particular trial...just add this key to your existing account and you will be all set to continue where you left off.

Something to add... Apparently to go along with these keys the devs are having some "special event" on November 21. Not sure exactly what is going on, but apparently the devs will be there "in character". It's probably going to be worth checking out. 8)

Thanks for the info!   :D   Kinda freaky, I was actually sitting here wondering if FE would give out more trial keys because I've been wanting to try it out.  I missed the last one.

Thank you very much. I have been following this game for a couple years but haven't gotten to pick it up since release. Too many distractions right now between Aion, CO, Dragon Age, and Modern Warfare 2. Will be nice to get a feel for this game again and see how it's improved.

Just note that if you have a single core CPU, like myself, you are are not necessarily out of the running. If you keep your system clean and setup the game options properly you will do just fine. I am able to achieve 30 FPS outside town and 20 FPS inside town without a single hitching or lag issue (Medium settings with 4x AA). The game runs extremely smooth for me and I have no problem enjoying the performance as is. The trick of course is to have a properly maintained system and to adjust the game options accordingly.

Thanks for the heads up OP. I've been wanting to get a trial of this game since it came out. Downloading the installer now.

  • SequenceLostSequenceLost Member UncommonPosts: 202

Glad to help guys.  i know i too was interested but unsure on purchasing.  i ended up purchasing without a trial and havent been happier!

Anyways - as stated above, if anyone needs any assistance once your in game, just send me an in-game mail or shoot me a tell (once again, player name is Tox).  I know the learning curve can be a little bit steep (though they are working on that through tutorials).

I just wanted to thank you for this post. I actually had no intention of trying FE, but I figure if there are free trial keys going out, then I might as well download it and give it a shot.

I wish I could download it through another source however, since it so far says it's going to take an entire friggin day to download and I have a very good cable connection. I mean AoC is 30GB and it only took like three hours for me.

Those who have downloaded this prior, does it actually speed up over time?

If it stays slow you might wanna try here:

Thanks! Actually, it finally downloaded and installed. Took about five hours all together. It wasn't so bad of a wait.

The game so far is very interesting. I'm quite intrigued.

Another source for a quicker download is to head to www.fileplanet.com and do a search for Fallen Earth Open Beta Client.  Since its fileplanet you may have to wait for a little (depending on if your a subscriber or not) but the download speeds are great, and after doing the initial install, the installer only needs to update itself for about another 30 minutes after.

Personally thats the system ive been using to get the client installed and updated and ive had no problems at all.

Good luck - and as always, if you need any help, please feel free to get in touch with me in Game (Player name: Tox).

I suggest using the Fallen Earth Downloader to get the game, worked faster (3mb/sec) for me than the other options.

They should deffinitely advertise about the downloader more, instead of directing everyone to the updater... doesn't make much sense to me.

Thanks a bunch for the heads up.  Downloading now
