New to LOTRO and I have heard the more mature server is Landroval. So i am reaching out to those who are on that server for any feedback or help they could give me on the game. For instance I am an experienced mmo player and i am looking to join a kinship that works together but is not to strict seeing as how i am a weekend or casual gamer. Also what is the economy in the game like? I am sick of Gold sinks or inflation (wow) so i dont have to grind for hours just to get anywhere. Overall im looking to sit down in my free time and enjoy the game instead of endless dumb chat conversations in general chat or constantly racing to get gear to do any end game stuff. I just want a game i can get into and feel a part of the community. Any feedback would be much appreciated or just your opinions in general. Look forward to your posts

I beg to differ. Landroval is the unofficial RP server, but all the communities are very mature. I play on Arkenstone and apart from a few bad apples, everyone is very helpful.
Brandywine, Landroval and Elendilmir are the three most populated servers, so are the likeliest to have n00bs, but Landroval has a significant (~50% give or take) roleplaying population, as well as some large guilds from outside the game (penny arcade guild etc) with somewhat older playerbases, to make up for it. Some of the other, less populated servers have a much older/casual/mature playerbase overall (like Gladden, which has a few adult (Oldtimer's Guild etc) focused guilds) actually, from what I've seen while playing on a few servers. Brandywine was the only one with more typical idiocy than normal (at least on general/world channels). I'd also avoid Silverlode because that's where the Something Awful guild is
edit: I made my (final) decision by browsing the forums for each server, checking the type of responses and activity on each server, and encountering quite a few mistyped nonsensical posts from people on Brandywine/Elendilmir (especially, these stuck out), on top of hanging around most of the servers for a few days. I'm on Landroval, but also have a character on Gladden, which is where I would have gone had the economy been more activity and playerbase a bit larger (it's about 40-50% less active than Landroval) as I actually had friends on Gladden. Oh and running into a large band of roving roleplaying minstrels during a festival on Landroval... (re: roleplaying, I haven't encountered people seriously into it, and doing it fairly well, since ~10+ yrs ago, on MUDs, so this was a big surprise on a big name MMO).
As for inflation... I was pleasantly surprised to find LOTRO's economy fairly well balanced. As in, the drops you sell and money you get at low levels is significant in progessing you, competing with stuff you buy (and sell) at the auction house, transportation and repair is well balanced and crafting is a significant part of the game (as in most of the best gear is crafted, and significantly better than (non raid/max level) drops, and best weapons are crafted. I haven't run into any other game which didn't have, say, max level players buying and selling items on the order of hundreds of thousands to millions of currency higher than new players.
Eldamir (sp?) is where i play and i love it.. there is a good population, and people from all over the world, so if you play in wierd times you can always find people. My kin also has people on all hours of the day and is awesome. It's also a very, very helpful friendly server.. best server i been on in any mmo in my opinion...

That seems the case with Firefoot as well. Have yet to hear a non-adult in voicechat, but then... kids may not use VC for that reason...
Aside from the occasional noob that runs around Bree Crafting hall slapping people, the community is pretty good. Especially compared to WoW.
Landroval is nice. It is one of the more populated so finding guilds etc. should be easy. I'm also on Firefoot which is rather underpopulated but as in the books Middle Earth is underpopulated I like it's RP atmosphere better actually; there are some guilds etc. of course but they are considerably more casual there. In LOTRO people who go there at least tend to be literate so it's a nice environment generally.
Thanks all of you! The info has been very helpful! im currently on the trial version and i hope to put some real time in this weekend to see how much i like it
I play on Landroval and yes, I find it to be a relatively mature server as compared to my experiences in other games such as AOC, WOW, etc, but since I have not been on any other server, I can't say that it is more mature then any other. I would never leave the server, that's all I can contribute lol.
There Is Always Hope!
The most POPULATED, however, is Brandywine.
