You cant compare the pvp in wow to the rvr in war. WAR is casual, fun, and makes sense. Getting your corpse camped is not pvp....Its annoying and a complete waste of time, especially in wow, where there is no reward. It is not challenging for either person in that scenario. Your comparison of pvp between the two games doesnt make any sense whatsoever...

Agreed. So many players I have talked to in WoW say that the PvP just plain sucks and is boring. Theres one objective and you get no points if you kill the enemy player. War is MUCH better in being rounded out in PvP. They seperate levels into Tiers for a "Fair Playing Ground" and bolster lowbies abilities high enough to be able to compete better with those players who are already at that level. You cant get your corpse camped in War and you can come back to the fight knowing more about your enemy than you did before you died and go around with them some more, thats true PvP.
Sure wow doesn't have zone or world conquest as the goal of its pvp, but it delivers far superior pvp combat in almost every aspect when compared to warhammer. Mechanics, elements, balance, options, variety, rewards, etc. It is just hands down a better system and one more people find enjoyable. Honestly a pve game should not have better pvp than a dedicated pvp game.
Really? You can honestly say you have fun in WoW PvP, killing and getting no points, just uselessly running a flag back and forth and having your corpse camped so you cant do a flippin thing in the game???
"Honestly a pve game should not have better pvp than a dedicated pvp game" And WoW certainly DOES NOT have better PvP than War, Not by a loooonnggg shot.
Warhammer had at least 300,000 subs earlier this year, just before and after the release of patch 1.3.2, they are now hovering above 150,000. Point proven.

End-game changes and population imbalance largest factor in Wars loss of subs over the last two months.
Different server rulesets is the simple answer! And for those who don't want different server rulesets, shame on you! A good gaming company should never ever left out a high % of their sub-numbers cause of some biased person demands so, different server options for the win!!

The combat between two people makes pvp great, not some ridiculous point system. For example: you can put all the points you want into EQ2, but the pvp is still going to suck.
I don't enjoy getting corpse camped and I do not think that is a benefit to wows open world pvp. I don't even think wows open world pvp is good, but I don't think warhammers is either. Yet warhammer makes claims of war being everywhere, when it in fact is not. It is very possible that most of the games terrain is actually pve.
I do however think the mechanics of wow are far superior to warhammer in almost every single aspect. The instanced pvp is better, the keep seiging is better, the rewards, the balance, responsiveness, fluid gameplay, etc.
As for your statistics all you are showing is that warhammer is not good enough to hold population. The WHYs have been listed and cover a wide spectrum of complaints from a broad section of players. Lack of faith in mythic to get the job done, boring end game, boring pvp, confined linear zones, horrible class imbalance, lack of variety, laggy game engine and on and on. There is no magical fix that will resolve the problems of warhammer. The game will not suddenly flourish if population caps are put on servers for each factions, because that is just one problem.
I don't know about 150k subscribers, because that sounds really high for a game with less than 12 servers and people are complaining that most of those servers are dead/dying.
Cool if you enjoy warhammer, because there is potential there if you get past all the problems. Also make no mistake I am not a fan of wows open world pvp. It has flaws, but for those who like the danger of pvp being everywhere, then wow offers that where warhammer does not. Which was the point of the original poster.

Ok, it was implied that the quests were IN the Scenerios and if you're talking about the "welcome back on the battlefield" quests, I find them to be quite useless and therefore never did them. I did PLENTY of SC runs in War with many premades.

You're using the game's official fora for a source? Do you know what bias is?
You're confusing personal bias with numerous player opinion and individual experiences. The forums are a place to discuss your opinions and experiences on a game and all its inner workings. Its amazing that you would think that 90% of the people speaking their dissatisfaction of the totally EVIDENT population imbalance and horridly boring end-game as complete bias.
Destruction doing City Seiges 4+x per day is NOT BIAS. The devs are even taking note on it constantly happening. Destruction taking all BOs in RvR throughout most of every day is NOT BIAS. ITs plain fact my friend, and fanbois like you refuse to see the truth.

Considering Scenerios do not have a "doorway" you can just walk up to, exactly where are these quests you are referring to that you can "pick up before you go in"? You can Queue for a Scenerio anywhere in your level tier. The only Scenerio related quests I have seen are the "Welcome Back on The Battlefield" ones that (its already been stated) give low xp and coin.
And I like how you only dispute that you are not a "fanboy" and not the facts that I expressed in my point of whats Wars biggest reason for losing subs recently.
hmm, Hard Core Member, 1670 posts all in just 4 months, Fanboy or Troll???
Im done with this thread. Retaliate and attack all you want. I refuse to try to debate with a wall.

Not those, either, no. Each scenario (at least in the lower two tiers) has a questgiver located in the respective warcamp (empire T1 for Nordenwatch) for a repeatable 'participation' quest which is completed by finishing that scenario - regardless of victory or defeat.

That is my character on Magtheridon(pvp server), which I promptly quit once I saw the joke of an end game that is WoW. Anyways, the only PvP I ever saw was when I was outnumbered or outleveled. Dude, that is worse than carebear. WoW PvP is a laughing stock.
I still find it funny, people who play WoW of all games... calling War care bear of all thing's. WoW is the biggest pussified game on the market right now... some how griefing apparently = hardcore. Why are you guy's not playing a game like Darkfall.... to much to handle???
No one really plays DF because of the poor game mechanics. Dated Graphics and lack of content. Full loot pvp will never work nor become popular because no one wants to spend a month of their time and lose it randomly to a group of ppl who just gank 1 person with 5 ppl.
Sigh, no offense but i don't give a crap... about why *you* don't like DF.
What are you dense? How many servers does Darkfall have? How many does Aion, WAR, AoC, WoW, LOTR etc etc?
Darkfall is a failed game, FFA full loot PvP or not. It is made by amatures for pimple faced nerds who get their rocks of by griefing other people.
As for WAR. Well the PvP in WAR is meaningless, you lose your capital or capture your opponents capital, doesnt make much difference... hence why people left the game in droves. They expected a war and got eh... I dont know excactly. Not a war anyway.
Calling things Carebear is still pretty Lamebear. Just because you flex your proverbial internet muscles and call something carebear doesnt prove just how cool you are. In fact its usually a sign of great immaturity...I would hazard a guess you are either a teenager still in highschool or a 20 something living at home with Mommie and Daddy.

Given your experience with WAR, what do you think is the most pervasive problem that affects both sides' participation and enjoyment of open RvR?
Slanted phraseology aside ("flock back"), do you think that an effective, enjoyable Underdog system that makes both sides competitive might be a very significant step toward making the game more enjoyable for present players, and perhaps prompt a few past players to play again?
I agree that realm balance isn't the only problem the game has. Then again, it's not the only problem being worked on, either.
Tbh ...I even thought to give WAR a second chance I played game since beta and had tons of fun with it but down for me was that after one year they still didn`t fixed end game and same stupid bugs that were there from day 1 thought to resub but is there any point to go back now imbalanced servers and same old lag ? WOW pvp is a joke and I have never saw more simplified and lamer excuse for pvp and ganking than in WOW I honestly cannot understand how can one shot kill be still called a good pvp but people jsut call anything pvp game this days ......

I am not referring to the welcome back quests. Those are relatively (several months, though) recent.
Here is a quote:
"Pay attention. Each scenario has a related quest you can pick up before going in, which rewards you whether you win or lose. Now, that is carebear."
That does not imply that the quests were IN the scenarios.
No offense but if you did not know about the scenario quests then you really should not talk about the game. I noticed those quests maybe in the second or third day of playing the game....

Why are people getting stuckup on that therm? What he means is: game-with-no-consequences-for-losing-or-winning-in-pvp-and-discourages-open-world-ffa-pvp.
Get over it already.

Hey guys and gals. This is a good thread but let's keep the flaming out of it. I don't want to have to start deleting threads. Thanks!

90% of people complaining about 1 problem means they are not happy with that 1 problem. It does not mean they think the rest of the game is fine or there are no other show stopping problems.
Again I ask you, do you think people would flock back to warhammer if they put a population cap on the game? Would that resolve the problems the majority of people had with the game?
Given your experience with WAR, what do you think is the most pervasive problem that affects both sides' participation and enjoyment of open RvR?
Slanted phraseology aside ("flock back"), do you think that an effective, enjoyable Underdog system that makes both sides competitive might be a very significant step toward making the game more enjoyable for present players, and perhaps prompt a few past players to play again?
I agree that realm balance isn't the only problem the game has. Then again, it's not the only problem being worked on, either.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
