I'm going to start playing AoC again.....

i've played tons of mmo's before aoc like eq etc.

most the games i played i never fully enjoyed leveling, in aoc other than performance issues 1-80 was the most fun i had in any mmo even if it was linear ( that was only thing that bothered me :(  )

once i finally got to 80, it was hell because of the extreme bordom, the server started going downhill, guildies all vanished. so i quit. there was absolutely nothing to do that was any fun :(

i ended up selling my account to some chinese farmers lol.

anyways, after seeing the expansion and reading up on all updates i decided to try the game one more time, hopefully it wont disappoint me. i really loved the game but at the end it just lacked... everything.

I had pretty fun in AoC with my friends in the beginning but most of us couldnt even endure the lack of content beginning in the early 50s.

As much as i'd like to enjoy AoC as i did in the beginning it probably wont happen. I tried a trial a few weeks ago and i just uninstalled it after killing two mobs.

If your going to start play AoC while having fun at the same time, im happy for you. I wish i had something fun to play in this "dry" times.

And when did your 80lvl boredom happened? If you like PVP you have infinite amount of content to play with it. But if you are one of the PVE nabs, I bet at least now you have enough content to keep yourself entertained with raids(T3 coming soon too), dungeons(Xibaluku is the best dungeon I have ever seen in any mmo) and new areas like 80lvl. And also because items actually matter now, you will get enough content hunting recipes or just getting better gear for your character.

Also, leveling is pretty fun(at least till 70lvl, when it slows down) so don't be scared to try new alts.

Between Commons, Tier 1 and 2 raids, Iron Tower as well as hopefully guild ranks and PvP towers in January, there is and will be even more stuff for lvl 80's to do, and with the new xp pots for Nov, leveling an alt is fun as hell, its given me a chance to try out a lot of the classes.

i'm someone who pre ordered AoC and played from launch, i played for the 30 day free period then quit, not because of bugs cause the only bug i ran into was with the arena in Noble district. i just couldn't find enough content to level at the time and i have to admit to being completely annoyed at the time because crafting was simple and unrewarding as well as half the features they promised didn't exist. that being said i have since returned thanks to the 14 days free we now have and i'm enjoying the game again, if i can afford it i'll definately be returning on a permanant basis...

I just started AoC and I'm having a really good time.

But that contentstuff you mention is supposedly fixed. I read somewhere that they added a bunch of 1-80 stuff and that they also added for areas for > lvl 75.  (Tarantia commons, Iron Tower, Xibaluku, Slaugtherhouse, Raid Tier 1 and 2, some kind of PvP resource thing that people wage war over to keep land, to harvest and to keep their cities and battlekeeps up). I hear of people that started around christmastimes last year that still have not burned through all content so I am not particularly worried about little high level content. The whole goddamn expack and Tier 3 raiding with other shit is also incoming so there should be enough to do.

Fun game, hope it keep my interest as well as it has done since yesterday. lol

do let us know how it is : i've been lookin for some good lvl 80 reviews (from people who had already go to 80 and returned)

    thx for the headsup

Just when you think you have all the answers, I change the questions.

i have quitted 3 time and resub every 2-3month, My next resub could be my fourth one. I just play my Lv20guardian to pvp in Tortage *cough cough* almost nothing to do after you leave Tortage.  If you can't siege or hate raid there isn't anything to do in AOC beside just lv up your Alt.

If you going to resub it again. I recommend you start a new toon ( i prefer melee class like Barbarian or Assassin will be fine). Try to play it slowly, especially from Lv15-19 you should do alot of PVP in Underhalls/White Sand or some mini game. Get all the hate, and dont forget make some friends and join a guild.  Try get pvp2 or if possible get PVP3 before get to Lv20(I know pvp2 to pvp3 take alot of time).

After you reach lv20 try pvp until you reach lv25.

Personally, I think you should target pvp 3 for level 80.

This means pvp 2 on tortrage + a little more, and the rest while leveling up. Unless of course you are having a blast, then by all means continue lol

The idea though, is that when you get to 80 many players will have

    - BK invuls

    - level 80 epic gear

-level 80 pvp gear (often pvp 3 and more)

so if you're running around with blue gear and a pvp 1 necklace, you are going to have a hard time.

PvP 3 is achievable without too much effort and allows you to enjoy AoC's great "end game pvp content" which is running around in kesh fighting russians or scandinavian/german alliances.

Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
