Just a little bit more...

Ok, so before I start, I am by no means a hater of this game. I bought it because it looked extremely fun, which it is. However, I'm having trouble with the lower levels. I'm the kind of guy who likes to level slowly, and then screw around. I figured after level 10, there would be a little bit more to do than level, but it doesn't seem there is. Not to mention, with PvP being such a huge factor of the game, they spend no time at all introducing it at lower levels. Sure, the game opens up a little more at level 25 with the Abyss, but I really think a lot of people are deterred away from this game due to the lack of choice in lower levels. I think what they should do in order to stop this problem is just add a simple Battleground for levels 10-20, and then an instanced dungeon for both factions level 15-20. You know, to add a little taste of what's to come. And they don't have to be fancy, or long, or anything much at all. Just a plain old simple battleground where you queue up, join, kill and leave. And then a simple dungeon thats maybe an hour long. I don't know, at this point I'm just rambling on. Just to summarize, I think that they need to add some sort of break away from the leveling from levels 10-25. Any thoughts?

Well they could make a 15-25 instance that takes around an hour to do... sortof like deadmines.

They could make battlegrounds for the 10-20 brakcet... sortof like Warsong Gulch.

They could make something special happen after level 10... sortof like talents points.

Then again you could be playing WoW. It obviously has all these wonderfull things. I'm not basing WoW here, it's a good game on it's own; but Aion is just a different game. As in it's not WoW...

1-20 can be done in a day easily... its also, IMO, the most fun you're going to have in this game atm. 1-20 is polished and full of content, i'm 35 and there is a serious lack of content. The PvP is great fun but sometimes i spend ~30mins just searching the Abyss for a fight... The instances aren't challenging and don't reward you for doing them... So, take my advice, enjoy 1-20 and dont wish away the good times lol.

Dont get me wrong, Aion is a decent game but considering its been out for over a year its seriously lacking content... I'll keep playing it to see how end-game goes but cant wait for SWtOR ;p

You can do a little crafting as well as aether gathering. As it turns out you can craft fairly useful  gear even at low levels. For me that was a good way to break up the gameplay into different episodes. At level 15 you can do the open world instances. I found the story lines to be pretty good up to level 20. After that it seems less coherent, I keep forgetting the reason of why I am in a certain area...;-)

Yeah i Fell for the aion trap also , i have a 40 cleric and an SM. the higher lvls is serious Grind. For instance at 37 you get 3 quests for blue items in Alsiq Village. Each quest requires between 80 and 170 Oath papers. now you get 1 oath paper for ever 1 Elite you kill or you can do a quest which you have to kill mobs to get 60 Mask's which drop about 95% of the time then when you turn in the Quest you get 10 papers. :)

Age of Conan Has content has PVP has some issues with lag in MAJOR pvp. Give it a try 14 day free trial.

I know! they should just hand every single persone the best gear each level without any effort at all!

Everyone can run around in all the same epix, gear and cookie cutter talent builds it would be a blast, oh wait wrong game

The thing about crafting is that it's extremely boring (and quite expensive).

Visit the crafting district every once in a while, and after crafting for a couple of hours, you'll be itching to get out of there and get back killing stuff as soon as possible.

I definitely agree though, more content and things to do is on my "Get it sorted or I quit" list!

So it's a WoW knockoff with all those things missing and nothing to replace them? Excellent!

wait... because a former wow player who enjoyed those aspects of WoW said this game could add these features... it makes the game a WoW knock off? I do not understand your logic... yet Aion is not a WoW knock off. It is a Realm vs Realm who can zerg more korean grinder though. Just the best built one of them all imo. It has its perks and it's flaws. One of it's bigger flaws are the people who troll various forums for games they've never played just to talk crap about it because they're bored. Sound familiar?
