I've been back in the game for a little while now but I've had a hard time earning enough credits to buy the things I want. I was wondering what people do to earn their credits.
What i really need is a full set of 35's but that goes for around 35 millions on my server. I've been spending a lot of time in space lately and selling the junk parts but it will be a long time before I save 35 millions unless i get lucky and loot some crazy component.
So any tips on earning credits ?

As a combat character, rare loot is always a good way to make money. You'd need to identify which loot is worth going after and work out what kind of market there is for it.
You could roll out a Trader character on your second character slot on that server. It's always better to get other players to pay you with credits for goods and services than to grind credits yourself.
You could also buy TCG Booster Packs and sell them in game for credits. That's probably fastest, depending on your server you can get 8-10 million credits for $0.99.
Since youre allready into space, what you could do is farm Asteroids by mining them. More about that process here:
Once you have filled up your cargo hold, instead of selling the asteroids to the mining station, you can list the asteroids on the bazaar for 90-200 Credits per unit.
In a regular starfighter with a cargo hold of 5,000 units, by listing them on the bazaar you can make 450k - 1 million per haul. Personally, using the Y-8 Mining ship with the large cargo hold I've gotten about 50k units in roughly 2 hours - thats 4.5-10 million for a 2 hour session. Often there will also be traders looking for space miners on the official trade forums. Alternatively, offer your services or products in a trade post.
Asteroids are used in ship crafting and crafting of Basilisk war droids as well as various other items.
Asteroids are also used in Vehicle Restoration kits. people always need those. if you make them yourself you can sell them for 500k a piece depending on the going rate on your server.
Collections seem to be a good way also, go to the collectors codex and learn whats rare. I used macros to speed kill and loot, it helps to have a Ent buff that affects action and action cost. Depending on what I got to sell and market price, or if I am cornering the market, I can make about 7mill to 40mill a week selling collections.
What I liked about dealing in collections is that you can usually complete some yourself while making some credits. All my toons had most too all the housing limit increases, which made a pack rat like myself happy. 5 toons with about 1600 storage each added up to about 8000 items in my houses. Then consider the stacking, and I think I got close to 10k items.
