Yeah, those graphics look actually a bit worse than what you could find in Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force, all the way back in September of 2000 when it was released. I'm going to assume that the developers were given a rather large budget to work with on this project due to the ST license. Question is, where is the money going? Hookers and large quantities of coke?
Seriously though, you know that they were given a Hollywood blockbuster like budget to work with. What's up with Quake 3 era graphics then? I mean I'm the first one to point out that there is more to games than shiny graphics, but those screenshots are laughable as far as 2009 (almost 2010) is concerned.

No....Everyone will begin as Federation only. Once you complete the basic tutorial you will be able to choose Federation or Klingon. As far as the Romulans go the timeline will help you understand why they are absent VIDEO

The 2 'sides' to play from start are fed and klingon with different races available for each
however I'm with you in wanting a romulan warbird, however since according to cryptic they are klingon warbirds i'm not holding out too much hope for the future
Games shaping up nicely, can't wait to command that Klingon ship! Characters look very nice compared to most MMO's that only give limited choices and end up looking a like.
I agree, to much nit picking these days. me and a bunch of buddies plan on playing together and that will be the best part of the game. its almost as bad as people complaining about how slow lotro combat was. It honestly was not that slow..now compare it to wow or some other mmo where you hit 3 buttons and attack 12 times ya ANY combat is going to SEEM slow lol.
