Did a google search and it came up with a "Why most girls love cute MMORPG" blog thingy. So i'm guessing that the most females playing on an MMORPG are Ragnarok, Rose, FlyFF.
I thought it interesting to point out my Girlfriend started getting obsessive with Aion due to the Character creation and attractive graphics. She would play it 24/7 if she owned a gaming rig and could afford the Sub.
I am looking for f2p alternatives. She hated Runescape as obviously it does not compare. Anyone have any suggestions??
What is a f2p with decent graphics and awesome character creator where she can make an awesome looking avatar?

Just to make things clear... I speak for myself and no one else, unless i state otherwise mine is just an opinion. A fact is something that can be independently verified, you may challenge such but with proof. You have every right to disagree with me through sound argument, i believe in constructive debate, but baseless aggression will warrant an unkind response.
State the obvious: you'll never know, and no study could effectively be done.
We do know that men are more technically oriented, whereas women are more aesthetically oriented. Be it by design or social breeding, these 2 statements are givens.
If you're looking for raw numbers, look to the title with the highest raw numbers. If you're looking at a percentage of gaming base, I'd prolly venture to guess it's going to be a F2P, 'cute' looking game, not an involving (P2P), technical game.
We draw satisfaction differently.
That is exactly right, and we're not saying NO to save WoW, because it is already a lost cause. We are saying NO to dissuade the next group of greedy suits who decide to emulate Blizzard and Cryptic, etc. We can prevent some of the future games from spewing this crap, but the sooner we start saying no, the better the results will be. So - Stand up, pull up your pants, and walk away. - MMO_Doubter
I assume it's the games with the cuter looks and pet classes that attract women (girls mostly that is). Yes yes, some women also love to headshot people in FE, see bodyparts flying in Bloodymare Requiem or pilot through deep space in EVE. Still, I think the majory is attracted to cute graphics and pet classes.
That would then be WoW and Aion. Both in totals and percentagewise I guess.
Played pretty much every MMO since UO and the two stand outs are...
CoX and EQ2.
Probably for the same reasons, accessibility, diverse roles and focus. Fairly safe to assume any PvP oriented MMO does not have a high female population.
Or that often spoken about, rarely played game called IRL, I heard it has TONS of women playing.
Aye, but all the women there are OP class/specs and use mind tricks to grief and camp the men who try to play. The men seemingly reroll to these so-called e-MMORPGs.

Anyways probably WoW simply because it has the most player over all...like 10 times the amount of any other so ya.

Dude the girl looks like shes made of Lego, I dunno why ppl keep trying to compare AION with Perfect World, if you want Lego customization sure go for Perfect World its a pretty face painted on a Lego model.
Most likely WoW, mainly because it's the most mainstream MMO on the market. A friend of mine will play any MMO her boyfriend is playing which cycles between EQ >> EQ2 >> WoW >> SWG >> and back to the beginning again.
One of the things I notice about other women who play MMO's; their husbands or S/O's do too. Two of my old friends would play any MMO her husband did and since they have a family and bills, it gives them something cheap for them to do as opposed to going out all the time.
I know that just about anytime I am playing an MMO it's because I have RL friends who are too and it's pretty much a social thing for me.

Theres probably a normal percentage for any game, so just take the game with the most subscribers and you have your answer.
Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

Probly WoW or Aion
Lvl 75 Black Mage/White Mage ffxi
Lvl 80 Druid WoW
Lvl 34 Ranger Aion
if i had to guess id say Aion but there is no fact in my statement
The following statement is false
The previous statement is true
You mean percentage-wise or in total?

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)
Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)
Probably SIMS 3 :P
Or that often spoken about, rarely played game called IRL, I heard it has TONS of women playing.
Ohh we are realy good at that one ^.^

I would think it would be WoW just by sure volume of the players. All of the women gamers I know IRL play WoW.

Hope this is a joke ha...

% wise, I would think they would be around the same. WoW might have more, but they have more total people playing.
OF course, Sims, which isn't a normal MMO per say, has a higher %.
Not really an MMO, more a social network, but...
GaiaOnline.
There are better ways to pick up girls..

Eharmony.
I would have to say....Farmtown...the game on Facebook. One girl I know made a separate Facebook account to play.
Farmville isnt it? That def has alot of girls playing it.
I guess it would have to be WOW, just the numbers alone should be around 100k or more if the total game pop is over a million users.
You me guys playing as girls.
Impossible to tell....it is the internet and people are weirdos........
