Will that 750w power supply work with my current motherboard? (its an asus p5q deluxe).
I havent heard of power supply compatibility issues, but you never know with computers now adays with all the compatibility shit..

You don't need that big psu with normal computer, get 450 watt version, you'll save cash and energy.
Its not a normal computer, and the current version I have is a 500w version.

Yeah, don't listen to the kinda stuff. Personally, I run a 1100w and I could probably get by on an 800w. But my theory is, it's better to be overpower than under-power. Plus it leaves alot of room for OCing and upgrades.
Of course if I leave my computer on 24/7 it raises my electric bill $150/mo. lmfao
