first off you need to have a game boy or a PS1, you can find these old school games at gamestop or any other place that still sells PS1 games... best buy for instance.
good luck and those are great titles
me- Mom... can you get me a game?
mom- you can have this instead you dirty basterd!
*mom takes cigar and puts out the light on my forearm* --------------------------------------------- Credit card declined eh? well let me just give you one of my many YAH!!! *throws hand full of credit cards in waiters face*
Tales of Eternia Online might suit your needs, but I would imagine a game like this would not see a western release (ike a huge amount of quality Japanese RPG's). Beta starts soon I think with a release in a few months in Japan. Official websites Japanese only but there is some info out there if you look hard enough

/agree ^^
I got a good laugh out of that... maybe if it was a few paragraphs long I could understand
Anyways, to the original poster... There arent any "big name" mmorpg's out there like this currently but there are quite a few small (very small) ones... if you dont mind playing with only like 10 other people at a time I mean...
maybe Fairyland could be considered final fantasy-ish with its turn based combat?... too bad it sucks though eh =/
Once you install all the things, and make a free account, run the Dream Seeker program, it's sort of like an IExplorer. It launches the byond page where you can browse a bunch of games that are all fan-made. Theres some good FF ones on there. I prefer Dragon Warrior Online myself.
