Bug fixes and tweaks are part and parcel of every patch major or minor for a live MMOG, but patch 1.5.1 is looking to address one of the hot button complaints about the game: the grind.
To that end, 1.5.1 is aggressively tackling the issue with boosts in XP rates for quests, combat, and even crafting, as well as a reduction in XP penalty for groups. New repeatable quests have also been added. NCsoft is looking to make the game a bit more rewarding as well, as 1.5.1 also sees a significant boost in drop rates for instance bosses.

did they add chat window opacity control yet? As i said In another thread I refuse to play Aion until they do.
Didn't see anything about that in those patch notes.

huh it took 14 hours to get fixed, not one of the aion staff bothered telling us on thier main web site, Only way to find out the problem was through a 3rd party company twatter.
Apology was flimsy late, and the compensation was a MIGHT not a we will
BAh the 14 hours off the game was ok was just annoyed with no updates of what is happening on the main site.

Agreed, however they fixed THE issue apparently, which was the so-called "surprise" people had been blabbering about. It's worth it IMO, also we're getting compensation for those lost hours but I don't mind this if the crashing is fixed.
Gonna find out tonight for myself, but problem solved for most of the players!
yeah the crash has been fixed, just waiting for us to take back sulfer on Spat server tonight to really test it. also alot of other stuff has improved. i was just miffed we found out there was a problem through twitter thats all.
They were too late with the patch. Too many people already left the building, so they have to implement far more patches like this one in order to bring back the people they lost. GL!
Only big complaint I have is that for no logical or comprehensible reason whatsoever, right clicking a name in chat no longer brings up a menu where you can whisper, block, etc, but instead just automatically inserts a tell to them in chat. Dunno about you mates, but when I'm rightclicking a RMT, I'm looking to block them, not send them a tell...
