I am curious...you get to make your super hero and stuff...but i havent seen any pics or anything of the character creation.
What is it like? Is there a huge list and an avatar off to the side that changes when you pick your options or what?
If you could send some pics in please do (JUST OF THE CHARACTER CREATER...NOT OF THE GAME)

Sorry I lack the skill to send pics.
You select your Archtype and Origin, you select your Primary(and either power 1 or 2) and your secondary power. After that you select either female, male or huge(male as well) and from about 4' to nearly 8', you also determined at this point if you want your character to be athletic(slim) or muscular (sorry cant be fat).
Then, you have the character on the right and you can rotate the toon at will.
On left you have HEAD, UPPER BODY, LOWER BODY, CAPE(level 20+ only) and AURA(level 30+ only).
Each of those subdivided into 2 to 6 sub menus which can vary according to any choice you make.
Each of the submenu have 1 or a few things to changes.
Exemple, Head which is 1 of the simplest is divided into 5, there is the first choice of either you want a helm, pointy ears, hat, mask...then under it you have the subdivisions FACE, HAIR, DETAIL 1, DETAIL2. Face have 2 submenu, the first if for your face in general, the second is for makeup.
Note that all this offer you 160 choices of color for every aspect you single target in a primary and secondary color set.
Hope this help a little, the character customization(look) is by far the best I ever experienced, for all it can allow you to make. To have a better customization it would need to allow you to draw yourself(almost no exageration), and most persons have less imagination then this, so in most case, it offer more then what the persons where actually thinking of.

I don't have any pics, sorry, BUT...there are probably way over 1000 different possibilities of different designs.

character creation is by FAR the best feature of this game. it is about as good as it gets as far as customization goes in MMOs right now.
if it ain't good enough, nothing will be!
I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.
I tend to agree. As most of you know I'm not a big fan of CoH, but I could only wish all the other MMO's had character creation this diverse. If I had to come up with a complaint (and this is stretching it) it would be there aren't enough hair styles, and if that's the worst thing you can say about a character creation then you know they did it right.
it took me 3 hours alone to tweak my main character just how i wanted him.
hopefully all future mmos will follow suit in this category!
