    This game is awesome.

The world is huge, exploration is key: find better water, soil, sand, clay, trees, animals.

Exploration pays big time in this game.

You can change the world, affecting spawn seeds, like, you can plant grass and make chickens, sheeps and cows spawn there after a while.

You can make walls to protect your stuff. Build boats, carts, log cabins!

Shooting arrows from the boat is insanely unexpectedly fun thing to do.

    Day/Night cycle!

Realist AI: Fox hunt chickens! :D

You can milk cows, make butter, use said butter to make cakes and muffins. But for that you need to extract clay from the shallow waters near rivers, then make a Kiln, then gather branches from trees to lit the Kiln and put some more clay on it to make bricks... With bricks you can make an oven to bake your carrot cakes, apple pies, raisin muffins, etc... All of those you planted, collected, etc....

Amazing. Why cant I do that in other mmorpgs anymore. Its all about combat combat combat.

    This game is fresh air.

The game looks fun, but it also looks kinda ugly. Don't get me wrong, usually I don't care about graphics, but I've just never taken a fancy to 2d isometric games, especially top-down because it just feels un-immersive and outdated.

If a game is 3D I often don't care about graphics (I loved Wurm Online, but look at its graphics and animations), hell even some 2D games I like (I liked Maplestory until I got bored by the grinding, it was a fun refreshing game in terms of graphics), but I just don't like isometric games. I will give this game a try but I don't think I'll last long with the isometric style.

Ok after signing up and going through the amazingly short newbie zone, the first thing I see is a mess of a town, the first things I interact with are 2 runestones, one saying 'OMG WTF? OVER NINE THOUSAND oO' and the other saying 'This place has been noob overloaded, make a boat and lave'... After 2 or more hours of searching I can't find a place which hasn't been spammed with construction signs or any trees which haven't been claimed by Goons (Yes, those faggots from 4chan who infest every sandbox game known) and abandoned in some massive patch of unused land. My character is near starvation and I can't even find a god damn place within 10 miles to settle down.

I haven't seen any other players. At all. The only sign this game is multiplayer at all is the childish runestones placed around saying things like 'LULZ' and 'Give up now n***er, all hope is lost'. Furthermore, there doesn't even seem to be a chat system other than an incredibly localized bubble style chat. The wiki is all but useless and the IRC is completely dead.

This game is either dead or so obscure that it's beyond playability.

I'm Vahan in game, but you might like to contact Potjeh or Hamel on the forums, or check out our IRC ( we're the biggest community in game, with about ten different towns ) : http://webchat.quakenet.org/ Channel is DFHH

Also, you don't seem to realise how massive the game world is, so you might like to grab a map off the forums and use that.

I'm going to try this game out and I fear I'd be overwhelmed with the simplicity yet complexity, lol.

It is sort of like that. You start out, and you think, "Oh, this is easy and simple," build a house and some kilns maybe, grow some plants...

And then people come and raid you, and you pay for the services of a ranger to track them down and kill them.

I'll give it a try. Looks childish but if I can get over it it may be good game to play 10-50minutes/day.. Just noticed that I can't delete characters :S

Yeah, if you don't like the idea of having a bunch of characters there, then you might like to start a new account.

It's a VERY complex game. Not Dwarf Fortress complex, but complex nonetheless.

Trying this game out. However its not intuitive at all... no tutorials or explanations...

Finally found somthing that told me i had to make fires from branches... 1 problem... everyone has staked claims around all the trees so i couldn't get any branches without trespassing... and i dont even know how to trespass anyway...

I have not run into anyone in this game yet.

Tried joining that IRC channel but its empty aswell.

Thought I would update this. I managed to get some help and I setup camp around some trees, got some hides and started tanning them, my brother goes out and hunts boars and cows for food. Seems pretty interesting. You should definately try this as its very different from most games, you dont grinding mobs... everything you do has a purpose in this game it feels like

Once you get deep into this game it is absolutely wonderful. BUT you do have to explore a great deal.
