I would have to agree with the OP that the game so far from what I've seen has potential to be considered a AAA f2p. Me and the wife are both in the beta an enjoying it a great deal. The races are pretty neat, the classes are fairly extensive for a F2P as well as there being at least some variation between two races with the same class. The music really is nice, the graphics are very well done for a f2p as well. Combat is nice, the lack of auto attack was a pleasant surprise. I would not be devistated if they changed that but for now it's nice to have. The game feels very casual which is nice, it's something me and the wife can pick up and put down when we want to.
The Gibberlings are a neat race and I thought it was awsome that tey had this bunny squirel where the humans had a bear with the warden class.
If nothing else this f2p title seems to have had a lot of time and effort put into it and it seems fairly well done for a f2p. I am really impressed and I am looking forward to launch as well as looking forward to what this Dev house will do in the future.
Played it, yeah its a nice ftp with no colision, good gfx, average kill x boars quests but for a free to play it will do well for a long time
Kudos to Russians who finaly made a not bugged game
now: GW2 (11 80s). Dark Souls 2. future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord. "Bro, do your even fractal?" Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
Again, I could really care less what people CONSIDER themselves or what people have thought of Russia as... most of Russia is in Asia, its Asian, get over it...
Just because they aren't yellow and have slanty eyes don't make them in Europe and Africa... its Asia... literally.
EDIT: Let me add... I completely understand what you mean, but its inconsequential to the argument that "Russia is LITERALLY and GEOGAPHICALLY... in Asia."
hmmm, You are 34 years old and you Waste your time talking to these idiots. Seriously, you got wayyyyy to much on your hands dude. Just enjoy the game for what it is man.
GW's was ok, I don't really consider it a true free to play because there was the initial box price plus several expansions. The developers didn't even consider it a real MMO. GW's was good though and GW2 will likely be awsome from what I've seen and it will be a true MMO from what i've read and seen so far.
i've only heard subpar/bad things about this so no, i don't think it will be the first AAA quality FTP MMO...especially considered DDO online is FTP...
Yeah you heard..Make the judgement for your self..Im in CB..It needs a few tweak here and there..But overall the game is good for a F2P..Can't wait to see it fully functional..

It's not an AAA quality MMO. Yeah, I know how crappy f2p games can be, but Allods Online is still a B-grade project.
This game lacks endgame content and it's full of bugs. There are many broken quests and quest chains. The quest variety is scant. Most instances are simplistic and boring beyond belief. The art style and the storyline look like some bizarre blend of kitsch and trash, and almost all humor is vulgar and cheap.
The UI lacks much of basic functionality. If you switch to group loot, you don't see who rolls what or who wins. Zone chat has nearly unreadable color and you can't change that. You can't split a stack of items w/o selling them to a vendor and bying them back one by one.
The AI scripting of mobs is poor, and their pathfinding is horrible. Geodata doesn't correspond to actual terrain sometimes.
Should I even mention that there's no class balance whatsoever and that quite some character skills don't work as intended or don't work at all?
MMORPG genre is dead. Long live MMOCS (Massively Multiplayer Online Cash Shop).
I think to many people are placing the game to high on the MMO platform and others are not giving it credit for what it is.
AAA? Not yet. But in time it can and probably will be. With all the flaws about the game such as the ugly zone chat color, the stackable items not splitable, pathing, broken skills, those are things that are fixable. The game is more then playable and to me it's a great CORE of a game for future updates and fixes.
On a note about the lack of endgame, one must realize that a good number of players usually don't make it to endgame in a week, eating up XP pots and playing for 24hrs straight everyday. Even the above casual gamers take some time to reach it. To fault an MMO for not having enough endgame content at it's release is kinda not fair since most people will be feeling out the lower end of the game for sometime. For me, I'm an alt-a-holic and will make alts all the time, slowing my mains progression.
In all, flaws HELL YES. AAA, no. Good, solid playable game with lots of classes, good character creation, and a nice size talent tree....you bet.
Oh P.S. I didn't have any grind from level 1-10 during the US CBT. Some quest givers actually require a little exploring and are not all in town. RABID SQUIRREL BOSS FTW!
DDO was the first "AAA" MMO and Allods doesnt come close to that quality. Looks better than most F2P games thou (and some P2P too)
DDO was not a very good MMO. It did not look that good and the game was meh and had a fair amount of bugs. The combat was decent but could have been a great deal better. The server problems were another contributing factor. This is why it was changed from a monthly fee to a "f2p" but even then it isn't really a f2p, you don't get much of the game at all without a monthly fee.
only problem i got with it and i havnt even played is that gpotato is hosting it and is notorisis for have way over powered cash shop items.
such as +30% attack and stuff.
I agree..I just hope they don't make this game cash shop dependent..Like they did with the other games they HAD and of course, as you can see they don't have those games no more..

I will NOT play any game from gpotato, have been burned too many times in the past by that company.

Well they don't in Allods....
So far the items in the item shop is mostly for people whos too lazy and just buy crafting stuff. You can also get a pet that just follows u and does a stupid animation once in a while. Also some costumes there.
The only tiny OP i found was a potion that raised ur str/int/luck by 6 and ur hp by 10% for 1 hour.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.
Before i continue, dont flame me and stuff, its not like i hate this game or something..... this game have quality design and gameplay, but its pity that this game is f2p... and even worse - published by Gpotato. Cash shop ruined most of the games, and its sad that game with quality like this need to be screwed this way. Or at least they could use Guild Wars pay model, but not like this, and Gpotato is well known for its unlabanced cash shops.
However i would agree with the guy above that DDO is p2p game afterall, cuz its very very limited without paying stuff.
Main MMO at the moment: Guild Wars 2 Waiting for: Pathfinder Online
I seen a small gameplay clip of this game you youtube and was surprised of it's decent graphics and gameplay for been a f2p game. It looks really promising, for a closed beta.
Downloading client now, hope to see some of you in closed beta Dec 1st
You can currently get Keys for this to download right now, check mmorpg's home page down the bottom giveaways section, like 4000 keys left.

alchemists can make those potions so it isnt Op, and in this game crafting is very dependant on community.

Since you don't actually talk about the game, that post is off topic...
