This. Explain please. Are we talking about whole levels of grind or just a small percentage/level of grind?
Early on, after the 3 levels gained in the tutorial phase, the XP you get from mobs drops off radically. Quests provide the most XP.
What I have noticed is that the percentage of the level gained via quest reward XP drops for each level gained, thus it would appear that later levels could very well be grindy. Being the level is capped at 10 (for the CB) I can't tell you how bad the grind is, but it does appear it could be substantial.

Daydreamerxx seemed to be quite knowledgeable about the game, which led me to believe that he is actually participating in Russian OB. I know exacttly the state of the US CB, as well as I know the fact that many MOs start out with quests only to turn to a grind-only advancement from mid to finish. Just clarifying to avoid unecessary replies ;p

Fair enough, though, if you expect a certain specific person to reply... please specify that in your post.
The game and tutorial so far feels more like LOTRO than any wow similarities. I just gods im so tired of this wow, I get it right the game is hugely successful but it was not the first mmorpg and it copied from games that came before they all do and if people compare all games to it like it is the first of all things mmo then you are either young new to the gaming world or literally have played nothing but wow. That said sorry for the gripe I am really impressed with this game, I don't know what other people are seeing that is so negative about it. The graphics are nice if slightly cartoony still better than alot of the pay games and the f2p cant compare with it in that respect. Its also playable even at beta stage on low end machines which is nice imo its been a sore spot for me like AOC which i thought had alot of potential but was unacessable to so many because of its graphics engine. The combat is slow after tutorial yes, but like someone said if you do your stats right its manageable. I think in time this game will top ROM ecspecially if they develop a housing system and don't make it so everything decent is item shop. I do not know what the pvp is like yet and I don't really care I haven't enjoyed pvp in a graphic mmo ever, players always ruin it by griefing and spam killing. Best pvp has been in muds but I am old school. Anyways nice game has alot of potential I am looking forward to seeing where it goes.

You really have to try hard to compare the tutorial to LotRO. Yes it it like following a sequence of events like a movie of sorts. But that's where the comparison ends.
Then it's all WoW + a ton of other F2P games mixed in with a well thought out story, great artwork, and a better feel to it's surroundings and world. (even if the actual look seems to almost blend with WoW's also)
Hate to say it, but it's nothing really new to me though.
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to. Relax....."
there is no point arguing about if it sucks or not the argument should be will they market the game enough in the west to surpass all to be #1 f2p..obviously itl be number one in Russia.
I played WoW for a couple of weeks, a few years back, while it was in beta test and i hated it. I played RoM while it was in beta test and i hated it for being another WoW, now i play Allods and i hate this one too for being just like WoW. I'm not saying it's a clone or a ripoff, but it has the same gameplay, mechanics, pvp system, loot system, drops, etc. Nothing new. What i hate the most is "click the target, spam the attack button(s) and wait", where is the fun in that? Another thing that drives me crazy is the list generated loot system. And last but not least, i hate instances. My point is, stop fighting over which one is the best game... They are exactly the same, same bullsh1t, if you can't see that you really need to try (for your own gaming culture) some games like: EVE Online (p2p), The Chronicles of Spellborn (f2p), or Soul of the Ultimate Nation, but if you are a dumb ass kid who's afraid of getting pked or losing your unbinded armor, don't bother.
I think it looks great and even though it doesn't bring any revolutionary concepts to the table, it does an excellent mix of what we've seen thus far.
I'm not saying I know the exact formula or anything but, from my view, it seems like there's a general misconception of what a beta, or closed beta really is. One aspect is the majority of players run unique settings with unique specifications, and it's a difficult task to make everything work on all systems within the developers grip, so to check how well the game performs on said systems, they throw out beta clients to the public with the purpose of getting contructive feedback. You could say they distribute the work between them and the players.
Another aspect deriving from the above is, there are typically a lot of bugs, techincal issues that needs to be fixed and adding of content prior to the live launch, and again we, as beta testers contributes to make the game become what we and the developers want.
With that in mind, I think it's unfair to shoot a game down in its unfinished state. I'm sure the combat among everything else will be polished in due time.

Looks good. but thats about it.
Btw there is rusian language in the IM.
So what exactlly we where/are beta testing is unknown to me.
Must be the korean -> russian -> english translation..
Oh and ROM is pretty old to them germans just renamed the original game from korea thats 5 years old.
Just like they did with Voyage Century online, they call that Bounty Bay online they even made it P2P at the start ROTFL.

Well said.
