Small Feedback from a current beta tester.

Hi, i am currently playing in the Mortal Online beta, and have been since Block D, which was way back in October if i remember quickly.

I have gained quite a reputation ingame, alongside my current clan, as a pker, or player killer. The game is very enjoyable, with patches every fortnight. The game is scheduled to release in 2009, less than a month. with a open beta in the last week or so.

Now, i do not have time to go into every last detail, as it is late and i want to go sleep :)

These are my current views on the game:-

General Gameplay:-

The game overall, has a very interesting concept. Full loot pvp, open world (non-instanced), No classes, FPS, tactical/skilled gameplay and an array of skills. This type of game hasnt been seen since Ultima Online, and Mortal online is highly influenced by ultima online, as many of the devs are and still are fans of UO.

The content is basic still, but theirs so much potential, that the dev's just need time, and when i signed up to the preorder, and bought the game. They did say that they would be releasing the game with basic features, which many people seem to forget when they decide to troll and slate the game on external forums and gaming communites.

Combat:-

I can say that the combat is very fun, some people claim that it is too slow? the game requires skill and a tactical approach if you want to be good, a well aimed swing of your sword could mean win or lose depending on how skillfil your oponent is, and many atimes i have had a great sense of adrenaline as i attempt to escape from my pursuers with very little health.

There are many weapons to choose from, all with varying playstyles in mind, such as 1 handed swords, which you can duel wield, 2 handed sword, maces, sledgehammers, spears, daggers, bows. and theres more, siege weapons and crossbows will be implemented in the near future also.

Mounted Combat:-

Mounted combat is fun, and really require skill, but it's just been implemented and is still somewhat bugged, but im assured that it will be fixed in the upcoming patch. Basically, you tame a horse, which you need around 40-50 taming to tame, and then you must teach your horse how to be controlled (or it will throw you off!) and then you must train up your 'mounted combat' and/or 'mounted archery'.

You can then ride around at three different speed levels, walking, running and sprinting.

You can then decide, on whatever side you are looknig to the most, what way to attack your enemy from, and belive me, it is aa very hard skill to be able to hit a moving enemy! If you run into a player, the player will also go flying to the ground, which in my opinion, is very realistic.

-- i will finish my 'feedback' at a later date, as i must go now, but for now, enjoy what i wrote and feel free to ask any questions.

---- and anyone who hates the game, for whatever reason, may also post their concerns, and i will answer them to my best ability.

Kio.
