The last months have been a real rollercoaster ride here at Star Vault, albeit a very positive one. Most of the core features planned for release have been introduced and tested in a controlled manner, and we've been extremely eager to see the reception each time. We are now at a point where we feel that, although there is still a lot of work to do, it's time to increase our efforts of marketing the game, and part of this process is the lifting of the NDA.

MMC – Mortal Online Machinima Contest
With the fall of the NDA we started a new contest on our forums. Jump into the game, get your mates, make a video and upload it to youtube. Show how you build your house, create an awsome piece of armor, re-enact Braveheart, or explore the wonders of Nave - it doesn't matter. As long as it's cool and will impress our judges.
The contest will run from November 23rd until noon December 14th (GMT+1). Winners will be awarded with MMC-Avatars for the forum. The best three videos will be hosted on mortalonline.com. The N°1 video will also be awarded with:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX295
Custom User Title on the forums

We decided to open up the beta forums to the public. If you are a registered member of the Mortal Online Forums you can now read all sections of the beta forums. Please note that only beta testers can post on the forum at this point. We feel that opening up the beta section is a very nice way of letting the public in on what went on behind closed curtains for the last few months, and as you know, honesty about our product is something very important to us.

A few days ago Henrik Nyström (CEO) made his first post in the new developer blog on mortalonline.com. The blog enables us to share a bit more of the excitement and everyday life of a "dev". Stay tuned for regular updates and interesting tid-bits about the developer team, MO and the office life.

Well, it sounds more like a contest to me, allbeit to the devs benefit. But what's wrong with some good old-fashioned player-assisted PR work? Nothing really new about that.
Herc, anyone who even casually reads these posts, such as myself, knows you only post negative comments about this game. I say "negative" b/c nothing I've seen you post is constructive in the least. In fact, I only recently joined MMORPG.com as a member b/c I had some specific questions I wanted answered about this game. So far what I've read about MO sounds very promising to me, despite a few people incessently trolling on these threads (yourself included). If you hate the MO devs and parent company so much, why not find another game to post comments about?
Seriously, for your own benefit I'm telling you that my impression is your credibility on these threads is zero, man. Grow up and move on. Being a troll, I'm sure you'll waste no time to leap for the "ad hominem" response. . .
Firstly, a lot of times the players opinions will draw more people into a game then the actual dev team. Who are you going to listen to? You're best friend Joe telling you how great the game is, or some guy, literally paid to tell you how great the game is regardless of whether or not thats his true feeling. Hmm...
Secondly, I believe Darkfall has a similar system going on right now where they pay people to actually draw their friends in. If you refer someone, you get 10% of the proceeds or something like that. Needless to say, obviously it's a decent tactic because it gets people out there promoting the game they play.
I don't have a problem with people doing stuff like that, as long as their members aren't spamming the forums with it. That would get annoying, messy & out of hand fast.

Actually his nerdrage started when he worked on a "beta forum" for StarVault. They denied it and nobody has seen a constructive post from him since. Hes just a child throwing a tantrum and trying to draw up as much negative publicity as possible for SV. It's not really working since the NDA is lifted though IMO.
