Subtle hacking is extremely difficult to detect, and can give you an enormous advantage, such as improved enemy detection, increased hit detection and such. I honestly doubt these can be preemptively detected by Aventurine (or most gaming companies, TBH).
What happened in the wee days of DFO was rampant hacking, quite easy to spot and to detect. The idiots got banned. The real hackers are still around, I presume, because this happens in ALL games. It's not a DFO exclusivity.
The real problem is: hacking in a PVE game is one thing. Hacking in a PVP game is a completely different animal.
I've played DFO since launch and have seen less hackers than I can count on the fingers of one hand.
People EXPLOITED a lot, yes. And all of these have since been fixed. Not only fixed but every player has been given a chance to catch up with faster skill gains.
Check the dates on those damncheater videos - they're from release time, not now.
If you go into the damncheaters site the head programmer will make it clear that most of the hacks are easily detectable and will get you banned. Several hundred players have been publicly banned some months ago. The only hack which is hard to detect is the radar hack which tells you when players are nearby on a radar. This would give an advantage but not a massive one as the way DFO is designed you can hear players/mounts from the same distance as the radar would show you anyway. They can help you find someone who's hiding quietly and that's about it.
Anyway, long post and I'm aware that I'm just feeding a troll here. Another person who inexplicably wastes their time lying about a game they don't even play.
P.S. If sandbox open warfare with loads of exploring and being able to make everything you use from a shield to a city is your thing - check DFO out, it really is an old school MMOers dream

Played since launch, have only once (2 months into the game) seen a "cheater" in game. It was however not a hacking tool, it was ping exploitation. Which is fixed, for the record.
Dear Troll, These are all lies and you know it. I have been playing since launch and haven't seen a "problem" with hackers. Have there been hacks In DF? Yes. A "prevelent" problem? No, not even close!
OP is trolling, however, hacks were very common @ launch. I'm sure they still exist, although to what extent, I don't know (just like in any game). I'm willing to accept that they're not as commonplace as they once were.
~Ripper
Pretty much this. They weren't as common at launch as people said, probably no more common than any game at launch, but they were there. Not so much now, I'm sure there are a small few flying around but I personally have not seen one for almost 4 months.
go right ahead subscribe to get your DF keylogger.. i mean 'safe' hack.
lol this.
Hacking accusations are used as a crutch by bad players.
Not entirely, while it does happen, often times to very good pvpers, In Darkfall teleportation hacks were very obvious, as well as speed hacks, the same is being seen in MO. I wish it was the case that everytime I was killed while mounted in Darkfall a few months after release it was to just a better pvper, I dont have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is losing all my gear and wasteing my time to someone who has a unfair advantage. Again I offer you this: http://www.damncheaters.com/
Since apparently you ignored it last time. If someone has the ability to teleport/speed hack and I dont then thats bs.
As far as bots go for the other games that Damncheaters advertises for, well no point in argueing there, anyone who has played aion or lineage recently knows that bots are HUGE.
That doesn't give the OP an excuse to be a troll...
From what I read about the game there was rampant cheating near the release. From what I have read that has been brought under control to an acceptable level to most people's standards. They will never completely eradicate cheating. It would be like trying to get rid of all the bad people in the world.
Again the fact that there are cheaters in the game doesn't give the OP a good excuse to be a troll. If it does the he should troll every competitive multi-player game ever made. Why? Because they all have cheaters/exploiters/etc.
Again, who really believes someone who made there account today? Maybe a character from Of Mice and Men, but that is about it.
with the hacks being very prevelent in Darkfall and the game designers inability to police the server I would not suggest ever purchasing this game. the GM's will not do anything when you /report a player and will often cuss at you for even insinuating that there are cheaters playing. Darkfall .
Hmmm, 3 whole posts and everyone of them is against Darkfall, lol. BUT, I think the biggest problem is the OP has not even played the game, he gets all his info from youtube. FAIL TROLL>

Keep telling yourself this. Keep pictureing these bot and hack programmers as some 16 year olds just trying to hack your account.
Then go visit their webpages. The reality is there are a number of very talented programmers making hacks as a business now. Why? because its a good business. these are programmers not in china or korea, but in the US and Europe like Damncheaters that are trying to make money and a reputable company, there is a lot of money involved.
Just go visit the public forums at damncheaters, people are really pretty happy with the program. This isnt a dark, keylogging business, this is a business making good money and making good hacks.
The gaming community is in trouble from the reputable companies not the keyloggers. It's the good one's that are actually selling working products that are ruining the games, go play aion see the 800000000 bots, now go to google and type in Aion bot, for a little bit of cash you can get yourself a bot to take you from 1-50.
All mmorpg's got cheaters. All mmorpg's got gold sellers... wait, darkfall dont even have gold sellers so its a big advantage for them over other games. IF you try to buy stuff, you can lose them anyway so why would you?

The most common place hack is probably auto-loot and radar. I've witnessed for sure 3 people auto-looting, and 1 person radaring. I have also seen several teleporters. This is from the beginning of NA-1, btw... so over 3 months of play time here.
Now, the reason I have noticed more teleporters is simply because it's hard to miss. You're killing someone, they run to the water, you follow them in within the next 3 seconds, and they are gone. Auto-looting and radaring are much harder to deduce, and there have only been a few instances where the evidence was irrefutable to me.
How many times have I died because of radar hacks? Probably more than I realize, but I'd still bet less than 5% of my deaths.
Ps. I am not the type to shout hackusations whenever I die.

This is a prime example of how misinformed the masses are. When you log off in water. You log off instantly, it sucks yeah and hopefully is fixed in the patch but this definitely is not a hack. This just goes to show you have no clue what you are talking about.
You have no way to tell if its a for-sure auto-loot and even if it is. It only matters when you are a noob and sticking around starter towns. Otherwise just shoot them in the head?
Radar hacks, I could definitely see happening and being hard to detect. I don't think it happens often though and agree with you on your last point.
obviously you guys dont play DF if you are saying there are no hacks Damncheaters.com ring a bell? there are a couple other hack programs you can download also. all with monthly subs. all this equals 1/4 of the players to be hacked accounts, but in all honesty I have seen more than that.
1) You haven't see more than that because I haven't seen more than maybe 10 hackers since launch
2) Damncheaters has hacks for: EvE, WoW, SWtOR, MO, WAR, with hacks coming out for StarTrek and a few other games. Welcome to the new age of MMOs
3) Name 1 game were people don't hack at all.
The log out timer without getting hit is about 1-3 seconds. If you get hit its like 10seconds before loging out. If you are in water or on land. Play better and you'll not have this issue.
With 2 posts and an account create today why in the hell do you think anyone is going to take you serious?
bingo, don't feed the troll, Darkfall is the best MMO on the market.
And what's scary is it's only going to get better... and better... and better....
Aventurine really may have a diamond in the rough afterall, and from a subscriber's point of view who has been playing since EU-1 launch, I'd have to say I think they do.
By the way, it's really pathetic (but funny as hell!) that trolls and haters are STILL trying to find anyway possible to pick apart this game!

First I very seriously doubt they have hacks for games that aren't even in beta yet
Second Those are excuses not reasons.
Are hackers more rampant in DFO than any other game. No, and thats the key point. The only difference is, its more frustarting when you encounter a hacker in DFO. However, people do use the hacker excuse when they die a lot, which is why people think DFO is rampant with hackers. Get it now?
About the hacks for games that aren't in beta yet. Games that use the same engine are usually hacked the same way.

DFO has the same hack and community issues. It overpowers the players but can be pretty hard to spot when you don't know where to look. And if you are "too good" well you hack and you get kicked out of the server (In a FPS). DarkFall....pretty much let the other player cry while ignoring him OR you make fun of him while he attempts to threaten you. Pretty funny if you ask me but at least these morons don't represent over 5% of the community so I guess it's fine.
I met a single hacker so far. Even got his name written down Was attacking Hammerdale when he jumped off in mid-air and "poof" he disappeared! Pretty funny.....might write his name down for the heck of it.
Oh and another thing.........DF is the only game where there are no gold sellers, or bots (not that I noticed at least)
So there it goes my positive spinning to counter balance the totally out of proportion accusation of the OP.
That is actually wrong. A quick look on Google will prove this. Google DarkFall Gold Seller House Deeds $250 Hilarious if you ask me.
Only difference about DarkFall though as far as Gold Selling, there are no bots spamming in towns......mostly because they get their asses handed pretty quickly so they learned their lesson.
DF isn't a big market fo far that's why no gold sellers there. It's easy to earn gold in DF nowdays. My friend makes 8-9k per hour but he hates gold farming. I'm sure when DP player base will rise up (i'm not saying if but when, yeah), you'll see gold selling in DFO. But I guess it will look different than in other games. Perhaps there won't be all those ad bots but mostly internet advertising. All in all if you wanna buy gold you can buy DF gold even now. But prices aren't low that's for sure...

We all know why DFO has no gold sellers.
I think the "he is a hacker becuase he killed me" syndrome is more common than actual hacking
Not saying hacking doesnt happen, just saying placing blame on something other than simply losing the battle is more common
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.
