EVE Online also launched Dominion today. What a coincidence.
Apples to oranges. Anyone playing LOTRO isnt going to get sucked into EVE due to an xpac and vice versa. Two different settings and two different styles of play.
Yea I agree 2 different play styles between eve and lotro, my eve account went by by 2 years ago.

I'm looking forward to both, actually. EVE-O is where I get my PVP fix, LOTRO is where I go for RP, PVE and general eye candy. Both clients are updating right now.
I agree though, a particular expansion for one or the other won't draw a lot of people across from one game to the other. The dates for both releases are obviously coincidental.
ok, little less about eve and more about lotro
i enjoyed this trailer, way better than the previous one, i dont know why.
and so far, the game looks a little better. Still have to see if the skimirsh system is useful and interesting
LOTRO player
The skirmishes are wonderful. LOTRO already had alot of content and stuff to do, this added alot more content and stuff to do. Endless fun, and it basicly adds henchmen of the various archtypes for the skirmishes that you uinquely trait and buy abilities for. Combat seems quicker, but it really isn't as much of a change as I thought it would be on my Burglar.
I can't say much about Mirkwood yet, I've only just started there.
Even if this update were just the skirmish system it would be worth the price of admission.

I know, I was just saying that it's rare two expansions for two different games would launch on the same day.
