Can we expect a L2 "clone"?

I loved Lineage 2, not only for its grind, but the world PvP was amazing. So was the endgame raiding.
My question is, will Blade & Soul be grind based, quest based or a mix in between like Aion? - Does anyone even have proper information about the gameplay?
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.

Expect a clone of a westernized L2 clone(aion).

I don't think B&S will be focused on large battles aka fort sieges and such BUT I'm sure there will be pvp.
Well It's a martial arts mmorpg that will feature some movements/actions that action single player games have (wall running, jumping on obstacles to reach high places, large traps in dungeons,ecc)
From videos it shows that each class has some sort of finishing blow, now this is my assumption but I think when you "die" someone needs to deal the finishing blow on you to die (maybe if they deal a finishing blow you will get the penalty else you are free from it)
This will be the first (?) P2P mmorpg that will be set in the eastern era (ninjas, chinese buildings and such) and from videos it shows that the combat will be a mix of target and hack and slash (to hit you need to be near same for the enemy)
Anyways this game won't come out anytime soon.
Considering NCsoft is mostly know for the Lineage games i would say its a valid question.

I don't see an L2 clone coming out of this.. just by the gameplay video's you can see how different it is in it's entirety.
If you mean, will it have a grind like L2, then I would say definitely so, that's NCSoft's style. I've been a L2 player since C1, and I've tried Auto Assault, CoH, and Aion, and all of them are grinders one way or another. I can promise that it will have a similar leveling system, but everything else in my opinion will be completely different, raids and PvP included.
well i have to admit L2 was one of the best games i ever played. PVP is really great. yes its a grinding game.. but many features and really classes made this game an real hit.
i can just hope that Blade & Soul will be just as big of an impact on the gamers as L2 was
Though i wasn't at the launch of L2, I have a good feeling about B&S.
I'm probably gonna get shot for this but it might be the Aion/WoW killer >.>

i do not realy care if its a wow killer or such. every game has some form of grind. just long as its not dumbed down and the classes are somewhat balanced so u dont see 1billion of only one class it should be good. only thing im worked about is looking at force master in the video that it may be a uber class for pvp but thats just from watching video so only time will tell
I expected to be a clone like any K-MMO. Focused more on pretty high quality graphics and flashy animations. Lacking in gameplay and content with a huge amount of grind. Sorry that is how I see it after playing L2/Aion/other K-MMOs.

I just cliked on your link, i was anticipated by that game, but again, what type of audience they are trying to attract? I mean, look at those woman. They pretty much look like any woman from an hentai movie. I wont start my hate on that now, i will keep on reading for that game, but they already cross the 1st rule to make a korean mmo. (Woman, hentai style.) Now, i have to keep on reading about the grind and other stuff to see if its really an other korean mmo to forget about.

Its quite obviously that the game wont be a L2 clone. Fron the game trailer its clearly that its much different then L2! Game style/characthers etc.
+ The characthers are anime style... and female anime arent used only in hentai movies!

soft skin like a baby and looking like a model that got no muscles, this is not the look of a strong woman. Age of conan type of woman are well done for example. Also, you saw it, i saw it, they got super big boobies for woman that know how to fight. I wonder what is the max possibility when creating your woman characters. Breasts plates is getting old, mini skirt so we can see their panties that easy, come on.
You know how asian woman that know how to fight should look like? Exacly like those from streetfighter atleast because nothing is exaggerated on them.

No it isn't. The 11 minute video clearly shows nothing even close to L2(although movement set up and interface might be but who doesn't do with that format?). A legitamite question would be, will NcSoft break their fan base if this "next gen" game of theirs is also plagued with bots and gold spam as their other games are? Or maybe, these graphics look detailed, what are the specs?

I did some little search on videos and feature and the game seem great. I like to diss some game to say how it sux like how tera online sux, but B&S, i just cant hate it teal i try it myself. And again, it still an other asian mmo so i rather get a free beta spot or a trial before i think about buying it because i dont want to waste my money and found out that the grind is so horrible that it make me ragequit. PVP seem to be the focus and interesting and tahts what i like about the game.
But still, i kind of hate the hentai woman character style.(I do like porn, i used to watch hentai), but games are for different stuff ya know what i mean?
At the moment, the only good reason i found for B&S to be made is to kill tera online so ppl wont even heard of that game lol.

To me atleast, Aion looked like and played like L2. The graphics were more of a Perfect World level of detail. and the game play was very very similar to L2. I can say with a 90% certainty that yes, yes this will be a l2 clone.
Aion does not play anything like Lineage 2. I bought the Aion Collectors Edition and quit afther 2 weeks of playing because it did not play like Lineage 2 as I expected.
Anyhow...It's not even funny how this game looks sick...Worth trying once it comes out.

Aion is more metro then L2 but they are similar. Same level of detail as PW? Then I guess most western games' graphics have the same level of detail as Hello Kitty Online, particularly your western savior WOW. Don't call this a l2 clone. l2 developers left to make Tera Online. Bloodlust are also not the same team that made Aion.
