Clearly as soon as the patch comes up I am going to want to swim to the ocean towers like everyone else. However, the real feature I am most intrested in learning more about is going to be local banking and trade routes.
I am actually getting pumped up for this (errr dare I say it to reduce flaming?....PATCH)

You might not want to swim there because:
A) Stamina loss when swimming now so you will likely drown
More sea wildlife....and beware the kraaken.
At the very least, get a raft.
would that mean you could rob a banking cart on said route?
We don't know yet.
i would probably play the game if it did never played it and jusst a few days ago thought about it so idk but that would be cool
I hope so! Clans could also then provide for trade route protection

yay the mob just a one time fee of protection money or we blow up your cart
Yeah a clan during the first few months tried to be a service and it backfired on them. I dont think the player base will ever be stable enough to have the world evolve beyond the beginning stages of a new found land. I hope I am wrong

Good to hear you're looking forward to it Seanmcad.
Hopefully it gets finished before eating into too much more of the weekend. (Although the time lost is being re-credited).
From this link it would appear that EU is still down and/or patching:

From the news earlier, the NA server will come down and start the patch/update process as soon as EU is done and back up. It was mentioned though that the NA server should have a much quicker patch time than the EU server.

I am on the EU server although on the NA timezone. so it would be great if it comes online within the next 3 hours.
Plus its snowing for the first time in 10 years in my city and the entire city is freaking out so it would be a perfect night to use a "stay in on a friday night" card.
