LF PVP game where I can play when I feel like it.

raystantzraystantz Final Fantasy XI CorrespondentMember UncommonPosts: 1,237

I'm tired of having to schedule my life around a game. I want to be able to play whenever I feel like it. I don't want to have to be online at certain times several days a week for raids. I want to log on whenever I want and play. I also want PVP to be a big part of things.  I do not want to be forced to be on at a specific time.

Any games like that?

Even focused pvp games like DF and Eve has scheduled sieges and stuff. It's tough for a casual to just log in and jump right into the action unless a game is built around instance pvp queues.

You can try Eve they have a Faction warfare system that lets you join your fellow races malitia and with the new fleet finder feature you will be grouped up and roaming low sec taking systems and killing the oposite factions in no time.

    PLaying: EvE, Ryzom

    Waiting For: Earthrise, Perpetuum

Sounds like your looking for a console fps game, not being a jackass by saying that, but that type of game would fit your qualifications perfectly.

I'd say Face of Mankind but it's not just something you can jump in and out of.

Agree with poster above me, or maybe try Huxley or Project E if you're determined.

I don't mind the stuff in the game to be set to a specific time.

I do not want a "weekly schedule" that I have to follow.. Ala WoW's raiding.. etc.

If my clan does sieges and such, I just don't want to have to be required to be there ALL the time. I'm not scheduling my life around a game.

Once again, it'll be tough. Even in games where things are spontaneous and based off of what other factions do, such as Face of Mankind, raids and sieges could take hours and they could just finally happen when you are about to need to get off.

I think the time consumption is what has made battle grounds / scenario  type pvp acceptable. I know that isnt what your looking for , just saying.

I think I'm not claryfing good enough.

I want to play ALOT.. I just want to be able to choose when that is.

I don't want someone to tell me I have to be  on the game at 8 pm, 3 nights out of the week.

Oh then in that case, try Face of Mankind. I think any other game will have times thrust upon you unless you wanna lfg for a few hours.

Then again...FoM is extremely niche. ;)

I don't think there's any game that tells you when to be online.  There of course are guilds who will tell you to be online at 8pm 3 nights of the week to raid though, and you will find it difficult to escape that mechanic in a raid centric game.

As mentioned, you can join up in EVE and fight faction wars around the clock and there are even alliances in 0.0 that would support a round the clock combat style.

Lol, nah. It's just a game people need to try. People keep complaining about hand-holding and raid schedules and it has neither. ;D
