How to cancel account?
When I goto the Account Management section of the website, I dont have an option to delete the account. Does this option only appear if you have a recurring acount?
Overall, a very poor game. I regret I paid for it, wish I could refund it. The game feels very disjointed, no real story line. Same collect/return quest strategy. PvP is forced onto you and without warning. Made it to level 23 before giving up and endlessly ganked.
Avoid at all costs.

Sorry to hear you dislike the game. My feelings are quite different but I guess... "Different folks, different strokes."
If you have Aion as the only game in your plaync account I guess it can be a bit confusing. My images might differ a bit (account names cut.) To cancel your sub:
1. Log in to your plaync account. Should look something like this: account 1
2. Click your Aion account under "Game Accounts" (menu on the right in your browser.)
3. Now your browser window should look something like this: account 2
4. Click "Cancel Subscription" and read the text in the messagebox and click "Yes".
Hope this helps - Should be fairly straightforward.
As for the "Avoid at all costs": It seems a bit extreme to me. Your opinion is obviously different from mine but it is still just an opinion
As for the "forced PvP" I am still surprised how anyone missed this as NC soft, along with most MMO sites, were quite explicit about the PvP endgame focus and the concept of PvPvE.
We dont need casuals in our games!!! Errm... Well we DO need casuals to fund and populate our games - But the games should be all about "hardcore" because: We dont need casuals in our games!!!

That does not add up. Zones below level 20 have no rifts therefore no PvP takes place - in a level 20-30 zone you may get a rift in your zone and get someone kill you but that is quite rare. I only got killed once or twice during leveling. You can only get chain ganked if you are extremely stupid and run back to the same location seeking out the party that happened to come over the rift.
Until level 25 you can't even go to the Abyss ... so there.

Well. good luck in your next mmo, which will in all likelihood BE EXACTLY the same format to level!! And as far as storyline, I'm guessing you merely grinded yourself to boredom, which is stupid in the first place since the exp curve is insanely steep. Before you rant about how "stupid" or "boring" any game is, try doing some quests and read the myriad of books scattered all over the place.
I find your type highly entertaining albet extremely shallow and somewhat "slow" in the respect of what makes a game good or what a story even is.

Uh, what doesn't add up? Get to early twenties, head to Eltnen as Elyos, and boom, you are free to be killed anytime if there is a rift.

i must agree i recall being ganked left and right while in eltinin mainly from those coming down the path toward the fortress
rift is up the road around the swamp area evevry other time i went down to the fortress for one reason or another id have to duck and dodge to avoid asmo's though to also be said usually a group would form rather quickly to dispose of them so i cant say at least i didnt get satisfaction from my death and there is one mission i am unable to do since high lvl asmo's camp out at the location of the stone you need to complete the quest
I thought the asmodian quests were a blast to read, most of them were quite funny. I think Aion is a good game, its a shame its being run by a shitty company. I could still be playing it if it were better managed.
Edit - and slipfeed, dont you have anything better to do than to attack aion? Yes, you dont like it, we get it. How about getting a life?

There is no option to delete ur entire account as in deleting it from te database. U only have th option of deleting ur current subscription, but ur account wil continue to exist. As for the game itself, I got to the twenties as well, and got bored, tho, with the vision trailer they rolled out, I'm definitly going to try it again. I guess they didn't get out the full potential out of the Cry-engine just yet.
I love when people saw there is no storyline lol I mean Aion stops the game and gives you cutscenes so you know what is going on! What more do you want a full movie after every major quest? I bet you never even read the quests. Only you decide your immersion level. But please at least be honest with yourself. Aion may not be perfect but it does have a story to tell.
You know I play Aion and enjoy it, and you guys got way to much fucking time on your hands. You sound like bunch of 14 year old WoW players. Get a grip. The guy was just wondering how to cancel his account, and he dosn't like the game apperantly. So what? Who cares. Not everyones going to like the games you do. How fucking socially retared are you people?
