WORST BUSINESS MOVE EVER

ionfluxionflux Member Posts: 20
In response to the warrior strike on Argent Dawn, a crazed gm started suspending random warriors in the AH area.  I had my gnome looking through the auction house when all of the sudden I was booted.  On trying to log back in, I received notice that my account is suspended.  No GM warning, no server message, no nothin.  Word of Warning, Blizzard doesn't care if you are innocent or guilty.

There was a warrior protest set for today at the newbie gnome starting area of Argent Dawn.  I guess because I was also a gnome, they assumed I was a member of the protest and suspended me for some reason.  I have yet to receive the e-mail notifying me of the suspension.  This wasn't even a guy that was created today!

Hahahah.. there was a gnome warrior "Protest" on the Argent Dawn server. Alot of the pisse doff warriors(there was about 200 there) all made gnome warriors and went to the Ironforge AH. As you may know, the AH in IF is the laggiest place in the game.. add a few hundreds warriors jumping around(literally), and you have crash-city. I made a gnome warlock just to watch, and it was damn funny. ::::18::

Of course if I played on Argent Dawn it wouldn't be funny... not sure why they picked that server anyway.

Basically the warriors felt like they were being ignored so protested, and apparenlty got their point across. There were GMs in IF saying to leave or you'll get banned, etc.... so they took notice. ::::35:: They crashed the server many, many times.. I left and they were still shouting "BUFF WARRIORS" in IF.. heh..

Just check the official forums(General, Argent Dawn forum, or Warrior forum), and you'll find tons of posts about it, with pics.

Sad thing is I wasn't even protesting.

And on top of that, 200-something players crashed the server and IM Suspended for it.  If anything blizzard should make it so the highest population area can support a large number of people.

I mean comeon, EQ1 could support over 700 in the bazaar.  And they certainly didn't ban anybody for crashing the server by being there, LET ALONE NOT EVEN PARTICIPATING IN THE PROTEST!!!

That's still not a good sign that IF couldn't handle that many people. Raids on major cities will have more people than that, and there will actually be fighting, not just people jumping around, which will even cause more lag.

Raids definitely don't work as is.  I've had a few fights in Hillsbrad with 20 per side that were slowed to a crawl.  I'm extremely skeptical at this point whether the battlegrounds that were supposed to be ready for release are even going to work 5 months in(estimated update time).

The few largescale raids I've been in have usually resulted in server crash, effectively taking out half the gameworld on the server.  Definitely not a good sign.  Ironforge was even chosen for the low polygon count in the city.

Thats pretty funny that bliz suspended accounts, Im guessing this isint a perma-ban, but just a few days sorta deal.

If there was 200 gnome warroirs there Im guessing there is a problem, and they should have said 'we understand there could be some issues with this and we are looking into it, now please leave so we can deal with the character class issues and not the server crashing.'  Even if they were just liying about it.

WoW seems to be having enough PR problems without pulling this sort of crap.  They seem like the  po po's launching teargas into a whole bunch of little gnome buddies.

Haha I just found the movie of the on file planet, there were 300 gnomes

    Get it here http://www.fileplanet.com/files/140000/149776.shtml

Just watched it, this movie rocks.  I mean, this is how the game should have been.

I still don't completely understand what they were complaining about, mind explaining?

  • ionfluxionflux Member Posts: 20
Your guess is as good as mine.  I'm just pissed off that I was suspended without being a part of it.  Oh and I still haven't received an e-mail telling me how long I'm suspended for.

Probably for all your hacking and or violations of the EULA.

That said I am glad they are suspending and banning players who destroy the game, auction or sell game property, hack, use of bots, farm, etc etc.

You sir are probably one of themimage

    Thanks blizzard!!

... Yet another example of the Fan Bois that are ruining the game.  It looks like the bnet kiddies are indeed filling up WoW.

Reapa- they are protesting to get Blizzard to patch Warriors because they are BY FAR the worst class in the game.

It is unfortunate that you were suspended for doing nothing wrong but it really wasn't Blizzard's fault. Not being some fan boy but GMs are not controlled directly by Blizzard. Instead of complaining on some random web site you should call or e-mail customer service to explain your case.

Huh?? How are GM's not Directly controlled by Blizzard? Blizzard hired them, they can fire them, so where do they lose control?

i suppose he meant that if GMs can still make mistakes and they are just technical support personnel and even if that might sound as "Androids" to some, they are still humans like all of us and as such, you can expect a certain % to be... well..... jerks?

Without proper knowledge of how their tech support department works it is impossible to know the truth. Maybe the supervisor wasn't present or he was but didn't realize what was going on for a while especially if they banned/suspended 200 people, finding that one of them wasn't guilty is prolly quite hard.

But, in the case of the OP, you should immediatly send a email to their support center or to the gm concerns email explaining your situation.

By the way, the Battlegrounds should behave much better than Iron Forge as it is a dedicated server to it so it runs that alone or almost.
