I'm sick of people complaining about the "immature" gamers in WoW! They don't effect your playing experience majorly in any way so stop complaining!!! Besides they add laughs to the game! Who wants a "serios" game? NOBODY DOES!!!
Who wants a fun gameplay experience? EVERYBODY!!! But the people who want a serios gameplay experience are the ones who have no life and have nobody but these people and their mothers who they still live with to annoy them because they make contact with the outside world!!! "Boohoohoo these people are annoying me so im going to tell my mommy while she shaves my pubes cause I have crabs!!!" SHUT....THE....HELL....UP!!!

Well BOB they do affect the gameplay. Its all about the community, otherwise why even play muliplayer games.

Of course immature players will affect you in an MMO. Even if you only play with your guild, you're still going to come across other people.. thereis just no way to avoid it.
And immature people can do more than just say things over general chat.. they can be that mage who loots that epic Bind on Pickup Plate armor on purpose, or can be that person who loots a chest after you cleared the way to it, etc.
It seems that you're a good example of a immature player.

Second the immature players still play the game but without being serios like you losers

Even though i dont play and despise WoW (and EQ2 for that matter) I kind of agree with BOb in a way, just because some loser wont shut up isnt a reason to get upset. Just /ignore, and if the community in WoW really bothers you that much, then play a different game.
Hard to say what I would hate more, a server full of blathering idiots or a server full of RP nerds that get wayyy too serious..Tough call..But still, at least in WoW you can kill an opposing player if thbey annoy you.

Wow, once again I see some peeps who seriously need a time out.
First off, whoever said that there's no community in an MMORPG needs to take a step back and rethink some things. Here, let me help. MMORPG's are games that emphasize grouping, partying, and playing coop through dungeons, yes? I know this isn't as heavy in WoW as it is in many other MMO's, but even in WoW you can't PvP with yourself. In order to get partners and group members you have to interact with other players to get a party going. Even in non-MMO's you have to do this to start a game. So, yes, there is "chatting" involved in gaming and hence there is a community.
When asshats start popping up in the community and making things hard for those of us who want to have good games and adventures with decent party members it can start to really degrade the fun factor for us. sure, it's easy enough to say "just put the reject on ignore", but what happens when you start putting too many on ignore? Less and less people are going to be available for playing, and when more scum start to infest the servers then the good types are going to pack up and move somewhere else. Hence, that game, server, whatever is ruined thanks to bad apples in the community.
Battle.net was like this. I personally found that playing solo games in Diablo 2 to be more fun than grouping with a bunch of pre-teen kids who liked talking about getting it on with women characters from DBZ. WC3 multi-play was a joke, I won't even go there. The point is, I don't enjoy playing games meant for online play by myself. If I want solo play I'll go fight Sephiroth on FFVII. I play games like WoW and other MMO's not just for the gameplay, but to interact with other people to enjoy some coop PVE dungeon romps or some good PVP action.
Thankfully WoW actually hasn't been that bad of a community from my own standpoint.
I do have to believe this guy in some ways.. but the way he puts across the message isn't mature which causes people to flame him.. but In some ways I would have to agree that some games have those immature people which don't know when to stop which then lead to conflict then a account being banned because of conflict.... so if its either you or the person your having a conflict that gets banned you must just stop in the middle of it all and just think "Maybe I should stop and go somewhere else" and if that person keeps doing it then petition a gm and ask him to do something about the immature player whom is harassing you in game.... yes..... "HARASSING" it does not mean immaturity.. it means people who just keep doing things over and over again until your passed fed up......

Bob, I've seen your reviews on WoW, and know that you hate people who take things to seriously, especially a game. I know, that you think people are losers, because a game is supposed to be about having fun, and not about being serious. I know that you believe gameplay, is about playing the game, and not chatting to other people. I know you believe that the community doesn't make the game play.
But the truth is, it does. Community is what makes an MMORPG great. Sure, you can have excellent graphics, sure, you can have the best plot and engine in the history of gaming industry. But if half the people you meet in the game are immature, and don't know when to shut up, why even play?
For example, you enter the game, just got off of work, want to level a bit, quest, do some instance runs, whatever. You see a buncha little boys and girls blabbing on General about why their a beep, and he's a you know who. You ignore them, and decide to party with some people, and go into a group. "HAHA, YOU SUCK OMFG LOLOOLOL I POOPY MY PANTS LOL!@!@#@" is all you hear throughout party chat, so you decide to ignore them and just play. They scream, HELP ME! HEAL ME! etc, and you don't hear them because their on ignore. They die, and you unignore them to tell them whoops, or sorry, or whatever, then they start to be immature again, except this time, it's more personal.
Then, you decide to join a very organized raid, with maybe a hundred people. You finally get all together, and a group of immature people decide their whole meaning of life is just to destroy the organization of the raid. So, they start spamming people, messing everything up, the entire raid party argues with one another, and by the time the raid was supposed to start, people have to start leaving. So you decide, damnit, the game is obviously in an immature mood, so you log on the forums. You've got people making topics like, "stfu so and so! your moms so ugly! blah blah!" and really, there's just no communication going on.
The community makes the game. Sure, games are supposed to be about having fun, and I'm all for not being serious in games. I even somewhat agree with you. But it's just when things like the immaturity level reaches over the peak, when things start to get bad.
Immaturity is about class, and usually shows how much respect comes across you with one another. People do pass word on to another person when they act immature. Immature people have a hard time getting in groups, PRESTIGIOUS guilds, and private raids.
However, I'm also one for a diversified community setting. People who believe immaturity is a no no in gaming must realize that people of all ages are playing WoW. Well, anyone above the ESRB rating *wink*. You all need to just live with it, and accept it, or disregard it. Stop arguing, come to a resolution, and resolve it.
Yes, or you're on a RP server, and suddenly 8 guys with names like "L33tpwn0r" "RPisfordumbies" "RPsuxxxxxxx" are spamming the general chat saying stuff like "OMG U RPERS HAVE NO LIFE LOLOLOLOL AT LEAST US 12 YEAR OLDS NO HOW TU PARTEHZ LOLZOLOZLOLZ

umm one little note ''immature'' meaning, not yet mature; well, kids are that, theyre physicly and mentally not mature, can u blame em? you dont go blamin someone cuz of his skincolour either now do ya? (well stupid rednecks do but theyre idiots) 2nd thing, I guess there just are a lot of kids playin this game, so learn to live with it, how about the reversed thing: kids blamin u cuz ur to mature? ur a grandad? an oldie? As for adult players who ''act'' immature; tahts cuz of theyre childhood where mommy or daddy didnt love them enough, they hunger for some adult attention, simply because they didnt have any!

Purposely causing the server to crash because you don't like your latest warrior nerfs sounds:
1 - Very Immature
2 - Sounds like something that WOULD effect someone else's gameplay.
If someone decided to that to a game I was playing, I think that I would care. Just like everyone else who is pissed off about it happening. Go tell them to not care.
