in Aion

how many other games require you to accept the tos everytime you log in?

is this normal? i dont recall wow doing that patches yes but never understood why i always had to accept the tos in aion

    I'd say that they're slowly changing the legalese of it with each and everyday. So this way they know that you truly agree to the every changing tos. I'd be reading it each time. Who knows next time you may sell your first born child to them for the next expansion along with 5,000$.

    There was a period of time where WoW did require you to accept the terms each time you logged in but they changed it to the current practice of only needing to accept it each time a patch or change was introduced. The Aion one isn't too bad as you can just hit enter a second time when the TOS pops up and it moves on. The WoW one forced you to scroll to the bottom of each screen before you could click on accept.

    theirs a few other games that do the same, i think daoc did it too.

    I think it's mostly because of the amount of botters and goldsellers/buyers, so you can't really have any excuse of not accepting the TOS.

    But maybe it's a conspiracy. Vive la America!
