so ive been thinking about returning to wow but i read somewhere that u need to upgrade your account to battle.net account or something like that , Can anyone please explain

    All you do it make it so you login using your battle.net acount info instead of your WoW info. I upgraded mine during the summer to get a robot pet. It really isn't all that hard basically just had to create an acount on battle.net and stick in your wow info, and it will ask if you are sure and warn you that you will now use your battle.net pass and username to login. Should only take about 5 minutes to do, and is fairly painless.

    Yes, you need to turn your WoW account into a Battle.Net account. It's merely a step Blizzard is taking so that accounts pertaining to WoW and it's future releases, StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3, are merged into a single one, instead of forcing people to have one for each.

    There is NO payment necessary, and once it's done, the only difference you'll notice once in the game, is that instead of using your old username as login name, you will be using your email account.
