There was a Nobunaga's Ambition MMO by Koei, but it was Japan-only. Maybe there was a RotTK MMO too at some point.

As for something similar to it in style alone... I couldn't tell ya, cuz they all seem like Perfect World to me in relative style, and thats the only one doing conquest that I know of. Maybe Twelve Sky keeps the setting more grounded to just ancient china, but I dunno. A game called Tatsumaki is supposedly in the works that is closest to the settings you want, but at this point it's either vaporware or a scam. Only a couple guys working on it, but I've played great games by just as many hands, whether it ever releases is question though.

I can't think of any MMOS(Strategy) games off the top of my head. Especially FTP as I rarely ever look at those.

WOuld be interested, though, to see if there is. I just bought a Yobo FC 3 Plus and picked up Nobunaga's Ambition for NES and SNES. Ahh, Old Skool.

Koei released a new NA a year or two ago for PC, but only sold it in Japan :(

Thanks for bringing back all that nostalgia.  :(

I spent so many hours playing that against family and friends, it was one of my first RTS style games and I remember it fondly.  Hell, I even used an SNES emulator to play it on my PC.  I really hope they make a RotTk online, not neccesarily mmo but at least multiplayer.  I would really enjoy that.

They're turn-based strategy games, not RTS, heh.

There is an epic game almost identical with massive PVP but i believe it is/was JPN only. There was videos in You Tube i saw them about a year or more ago,so i would say the game is definitely out by now.

As far as over here ,i ran into a Browser based game just last week, but i was disappointed when i clicked on it,had very cheap real cartoon graphics.

As far as i know Three Kingdoms (listed here) is based on the romance of the 3 kingdoms but i have no idea whether its turnbased, or historically accurate (if that matters to you). Might be worth a try since its f2p.

romance iv was my personal favorite ;). God, I dumped much childhood time into that game, definitely one of my fondest gaming memories from childhood. The duels were awesome too. I haven't seen anything that will make you feel like that game, they are classics. The newer ones are a bit dumbed down in a way too, so, thats a bummer.
