Clan NEW and how are the newbs?
Two part post here, one to promote clan NEW as I see many players coming into this game and the other to see how many of these players are doing a few weeks in as I know there are many of you who took the plunge.
Clan NEW is a guild built strictly for new players. It is here you can ask all the newb questions your heart desires without feeling like a idiot and get answers to them all, they will show you the ropes, provide you a city, help with quests and more. It is also a good place to meet other new players, make friends and network.
Just the other night we had a siege training session which helped me a LOT and showed me clearly how much I have to learn lol!
You are allowed up to 1 month in NEW, which is enough time to know the game and have a decent character built up.
I will be honest the safest route to avoid ganks would be going solo at the start but I find joining NEW more then makes up for it.
First of all, the people who hunt around the NEW clan city, provide you with lots of pvp practice and will even be fun when you group up with other clannies to drive them away. End result is you learn more this way and it is fun.
Also making friends, grouping for titles quests and having guild chat and voice chat really helps make things that much more enjoyable. So I find the risk well worth the reward.

I know many of us have written newbie reviews but I am wondering, in simple words, how you are doing in the game and are you enjoying it and planning to stick with it? People like Glo Fish, Gprestige, Thehatter, Strix Maxima and many more to list...sound off and let us know how it is going!

I found the NEW clan to be immensely helpful, all my questions got answered in short order from the mundane: how do you rest? to the more esoteric: why aren't there more fish in the water?
I participated in a PvP tournament and got a full set of high level armor for just signing up plus later two bags and some weapons for winning two fights (no one was more surprised than me that I actually beat someone at PvP...).
Funny tidbit: just as we were about to start the tourney in the cave a bunch of PK-ers invaded, they thought the city was mostly empty. I guess they were really surprised to get a a dozen noobs swarm out the cave and take the fight right to them. They all turned tail and ran away! Fun times.
In general being in a clan supported city teaches you a number of concepts of how things are supposed to work. So I only ave good things to say about the leadership of NEW. Make no mistake they put in a lot of work. The other day someone got banned from the guild for trolling, I must say they gave him a lot longer and warned him more times than I would have....

I am thinking about trying this game, which server is the New clan on? ...OK more than thinking ! I have been reading everything that mentions Darkfall for days hehe.
NEW has a clan operating on both servers I think.

A pitty that NEW is going to lose Hammerdale (City) ....
Its a nice idea about NEW but too many scum bags which look for easy pray and try to gank newbs ...

You'll be surprised, I have seen gankers come into take advantage and the noobs got together and chased many gankers out...lol
Hell, I got some great gear from a one failed gank raid.
NEW is a godsend to many who want to learn the game, group play and get many questions answered. Take it from a graduate.
NEW will never lose Hammerdale. Should any foul challenge NEW for control, 90% of the clans on the server will come down and help NEW. Even if they are enemies they will unite, even for only 5 minutes, and kill those fouls. Amongst those clans we can count Apollo, Black Shield, Lord Of The Death and many others....you don't want to fuck with them :þ
Im 3 weeks in darkfall now, doing fine imo.
Didn't join new since it seemed like a flag "free loot here" to me.
How are you doing 1on1 against reds? Do they jump you or do they leave you alone sometimes?
