Is there a setting to play in 3rd person view?

From all the screenshots it seems its a FPS. I was wondering can you switch it to 3rd person. Game seems really interesting but i cant stand playing FPS's for long periods of time.

Yeah, you can. I forgot what key bind its default is, because I used xpadder and bound whatever button it is to right trigger on my 360 gamepad.

You can change from 1st person to 3rd person using your mouse wheel. There is an option to enable 1st person when entering combat...sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't.

You can just use the mouse wheel to zoom out and play in 3rd person. Actually, many do play in 3rd person most of the time. There is a setting which - if you check it in options - switch to 1st person when you go into combat. It's useful. So you can roam in 3rd and fight in 1st person.

Of course, you can always stay in 3rd person if you like. Also you can always stay in 1st.

(hmm, one post too late, oh well...)

Yeah the first FPS to really make me get seriously motion sick was Halflife 2. I of course had played a lot of other FPS games up to that point but I had no experience with actually getting motion sickness, it's pretty weird. I played HL2 for like 30 minutes and was like, "why the hell am I about to hurl on my keyboard?!" ... you know a game is doing something right when it gives you a physical reaction to it, but that is a little much for me. When you have to take a Dramamine to be able to play a game more than 15 minutes straight... Fallen Earth I don't think would do that to me but I almost always prefer third person view anyhow. I do find myself switching to first person sometimes in combat though and I use the mouse wheel to do it.

yeah actually i had 1 MMO 3rd person game make me REALLY sick and that was CoX. when i first tried it i liked it alot so tried to make myself play it because i had read that doing so might get me use to the motion and no longer get me sick. after 1 long session i had enough and ended up with a head ache and dizzy for like a week. but years later and with a newer pc i tried again and it didn't get me sick anymore, not sure why exactly the newer pc didn't cause it or why the older one did at all. maybe a patch fixed something idk, i know the old pc was more than enough to run it smooth and i didn't get high enough to have flight even when i played the first time so it wasn't fast motion going on. was just odd first and only 3rd person game to cause it.
