I just started again... after trying the trial, I bought the Ultimate Collection and had to start over. Are there any LinkShells for new players on Asura?
I've never been higher than level 10, but I just hit level 10 as a War today, so I'd love to learn where to go and what to see.

There is a relatively new LS that is accepting all members, new and old. Send me a message (same name) in game if you'd like to join. Helpful leader that will assist with quests/unlocking jobs/rank missions and the like if you ask nicely and he is free. It's fairly filled with newer players with a handful of old players that will answer questions and offer advice.
If you have any questions, let me know. I will answer any questions that I can.
Yarr.
Linkshells are fine. But is FFXI at least a wee bit easiers to solo than in the past? I mean, why group up when there's literally no communication between me and the part. I feel like a big asshole when I'm not typing a word, because - what is there to speak about? And then there's this social rule of being respectful against others and yada yada, can't be arsed.
ESS O ESS. O ESS O. OR ESS? Bah, fuck it, just call 911.
Did you ever try? I have had some of the most fun conversations with people both on FFXI and out in the real world about the stupidest and most random things imaginable.
And the reason you group is because it is you and your party vs the world and the object is to band together and pool your collective skills to achieve a common goal. You get 6 people together to kill a group of sheep for an hour to two. You get two friends and go camp a spawn to better your chances of getting a claim on an NM so your friend can get the item. Ya know ... like you would in real life if by killing one oversized lizard you had a pair of boots magically appear.
I mean ... what if you got 5 of your friends to come together and you all go out to a bar and try to find some girls to hook up with later. You talk about life, chew the fat if you will, all the while trying to find the girl on your dreams drunk girl of the night. ... Same freaking thing. An MMO is more than just a game, it is a second life.
I am an ass for everyone on my server, who didn't miss my random /shout in WG mocking others?
Well too bad, i am still on this server, 1-2 might hate me the rest of 2500 doesn't XD
/sea all on a monday 6pm 2162 players from all zone online.

If the most random and meaningless stuff appears like http://geeklat.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/mickey-mouse-face.jpg then it might be fun. But if it looks like http://www.danheller.com/images/Europe/Greece/Tinos/People/old-man-n-white-mustache-2-big.jpg then there's not much intresting about it. And while some people may be all creative with thoughts and respond to reflections of this world, I'm pretty much some dude in a wheelchair. I see a keyboard, I think "Oh, it's a keyboard.". I see a picture of some flowerpot, I think "Oh, it's a picture of a flowerpot.". Really straightforward, I don't and can't shape my thoughts into fun stuff that would make people intrested. Unless I try hard... but wtf, that's not just right and unfun. In my subconcious I want to socialize, I truly do, yet disappointment and struggle is dominant in such occasions.
So why even bother with MMORPG? I think solely due to nostalgia... back then when not only MMORPGs but universe looked like wonderland (although there were shades of grey in it) which is now to me a place where people throw pie at eachother. Lol, why am I even getting all serious on teh internetz on a site like mmorpg.com.
