Well LoM is the love it or hate it game, I first loved it back in LoM 2 but after a couple of years came to hate it, the GM's/managers refused to update from the Krean developers and corruption was rampant as well as cheats and bugs nver addessed. The new USA server is really cool and ptobably less buggy than the England servers and at a cost of FREE-much cheaper, the US dollar is very weak and the England servers charge about US 18 $ last time I was there. Their beta lasted since like October last year and just went P2P before Christmas if I remember, too much fun in the last few weeks what with the school break and all ^__^ )
The Korean version of LoM 2 turned intoLoM 3 and it is pretty popular. Imagine Diablo 2 with hundreds of players and events like random town invasions where every one is a target and every monster MIGHT drop the staff, sword or armor you want.... team play is good and drop rates are not too bad. In the LoM 2 english version I spent MONTHS trying tp get an item I needed only to have a band of PKrs try to rip it from me. In LoM 3 USA I am getting what I need and see others ahead of me with the items either for sale,trade or for the friend free.
The Korean game developer (The Korean servers have like 500k players for real) is behind the USA version and not a third party contracting to manage the serves so you can be sure the game is being developed by the original inventors...oh yeah, fans of Korean MMORPG will be extremely pleased.
PvP is possible in certain circumatances but not everywhere. Controls are a bit simplified especially when compared to games like EQ but you should read up on them before jumping right in.
The game allows you to choose one of three classes in either male or female gender. LoM 3 is a LOT different than LoM 2 which I criticised HARSHLY in earlier posts. (I did say that the Korean version was awesome)
Right now it is easy to get into the game and get leveled up with out too much competition from hard core noobs...I advise anyone interested in the game to log in and see for their selves. I made friends easily and of course there are the few idiots there who wandered in looking for a little player killing or free lvl12 armor hehehe, just play and ignore them the cool players will notice you eventually and you will be on your way to having fun.
I think the clue here is USA based servers, exellent GM/dev managment and a server pretty much to your self at times. Get in on the ground floor....
PS: if you are into the lastest effects, exploding tanks - Screaming death and spurting blood this game will dissapoint you. It is retro gaming at it's finests and like I mentioned a game SIMILAr to Diablo 2.
I give this game a good rating now and when it is P2P I think it will rate even higher for PLAYABILITY, just have some imagination as the game don't provide and script every detail for you.

if there are alot of ingame events i would try

Hehe, I knew I forgot SOMETHING when I posted.
Yes there are exellent events once the server gets underway, we have had only 1 boss spawn that I know of but there are only a few players on so it would be a bit pointless because of the players being mostly low level...seriously I have been in events in the European server and they are totally outrageous with dozens of players dead at a time. (hehe I was one)
I saw dozens of lvl40 and up mobs march into Mudwall and Sabuk destroying all in their path. Well of course I did help kill some and found some great items too! Thats what i am saying is they DO have great events but when most of the players are really low level there is not much point. Guild wars are a major deal but I warn you that you need to get some levels to even join a guild. The first guild had NOT been made yet because it will take a strong party to get the item needed.
I am sure the top players are working on this. There is a ranking system and I made it to the top 40 in about a month, just to give an idea about the possibilities.
The website is kind of basic but it is low key.

OMG i Hate that game it took me 2h to download and it is full of bugs u can't even play it
it made me so mad god i won so much gold and i couldn't even see it i hate it so much

They rebooted the server for US LOM 3 this week end and it runs pretty good. Still a few smaller bugs but quite playable. Yes, being a power leveler is the key to gaining but I find at lvl 30 I can get a level in about 12 hours of game play, not too bad.
The Korean developers are pretty much on top of this game as far as patches, I reported 2 major problems, both were fixed in a couple weeks.
New players are showing up every day it seems and some have been here since the beginning. Come on, give it a try you might be surprised, after all how can 1.2 million Asian games be wrong? Hehehe, watch out EQ the Koreans have some angle on this style of games. I hope I can figure out what exactly is so interesting about this game but it has appeal for me for sure.
