Top games to showcase a high end video card

Hi everyone,
My father is in retirement and has a passion for assembling pretty high end computers. He recently puchased a near top of the line video card to go with his latest machine. (I believe it is an Ati Radeon 5970 Dual GPU.) My question is.. What games would you recommend that would show off the capabilities of the video card.
Keep in mind that my father is probably only going to play once or twice as his favorite video game is "Rodent" which if any of you remeber was a free game that came with Win 3.1 lol 
All sugestions welcome regardless of genre.. basically any recent game with impressive graphics.
If it happens to be a great game at the same time.. Bonus!

Crysis and Crysis Warhead are not brand new, but they have the best graphics in a PC game by far.

Thanks guys! Its been ages since I've played anything on the PC other than MMORPG's, so I'm out of the loop.. The games suggested so far look impressive! It will be nice to show the old man what is possible these days!
Yeah Crysis looks absolutely stunning. And the engine can probably even look better.
