This could be good, could be bad... ultimately at this late in the game though, it means it was never really done to begin with so doing it last minute is kind of worrying. Ah well, we'll see. I hope it turns out to be better than it was, but then again -- not hard to say that
"Mr. Rothstein, your people never will understand... the way it works out here. You're all just our guests. But you act like you're at home. Let me tell you something, partner. You ain't home. But that's where we're gonna send you if it harelips the governor." - Pat Webb
Whatever...nVidia partnered with them. That alone covinces me that SV deserves a shot and shouldn't be subject to random cries of "THIS GAME HAIS NO GUD STUFF!!"
nVidia did not partner with them, any more than Epic Games "partnered" with them.
I have to laugh at how they stretch the truth in how they use 'partners' when really, they are simply licensing technology and call that a 'partnership'. It's an outright lie, and it's easily proven. Check out the press releases from nVidia and from Epic. Both of them have not mentioned any partnership with Star Vault, or Mortal Online in any way, shape, or form. And since both companies release all news of any partnerships they have on their press release pages, you can find quickly that Star Vault is yet again pushing a lie to further the idea that they have some strong solid base that does not exist.
I'm sorry, but this is the type of stuff that ticks me off more than the game sucking, because it's an outright lie.
Ermmm what? okay okay seriously troll glasses off please. Every company says that even if it is just "licensing" . They practicaly mean the same thing anyways. As a partnership you do get help from the other party member and that is pretty much what they are going to get. Nvidia "technology" will help SV out and also if something is wrong or buggy SV can call Nvidia and get "special" care from them. It is a signed and agreed contract from both parties. They are practically bound together now in legal terms.

Edit: Also one more thing! Have you ever noticed how Nvidia never shows partnerships with any Game developing company? I just thought you should know that.... yeah..

It's one thing to say you are partnered with them as a "business partner" and another to say they are partnered for licensing. Henrik has stated in the past quite often, that they were waiting on Epic to do something with their server, with their MLOD system, etc... as if they had a hand in the creation of the game. Many people on their forums believe that Epic has a 'share' in Star Vault, and this is exactly how SV had intended it to look. The simple fact is, there is no partnership with Epic or nVidia, and it's shameful to put out information like this in the hopes that it makes you look more 'legitimate'.
As far as I can tell, they haven't even licensed anything from nVidia either.

Let me make this very easy to understand:
We are official partners with both EPIC Games and Nvidia. Our developers work closely with the engineers and developers from EPIC and we just signed the partnership deal with Nidida.

"Official partners"? Does that mean like Henrik suggested, that Epic has a financial interest in SV? Because that is the assumption that most folks operate under. It's spewed all over the forums.
Or by "Official Partners", do you mean that you work closely with the EPIC devs, because they work out bugs based on your reports and also help you with technical assistance in using the engine?
I mean, if we are clearing the record, let's make it 100% clear eh? Because the "official" Epic partner site doesn't list Star Vault as a partner at all, only a licensee. Being a licensee does not equate to being a 'partner', so if there's something beyond that I'll happily eat my words. Feel free to fill us in.
so anyone played after patching? how is it? fized bug combat? can has vids?

Plus it means more moneyz and publicity!
just hope Nvidia wont force bad performance of the game on ATI cards

Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
Credit goes to Eskaladar for this picture:
GUI still needs some work but a heck of an improvement over the last one.
That picture looks horrendous, is it on low?
More then likely Twisted.
I wasn't aware they even enabled high resolution yet. Shadows made the game unplayable before, is that changed?
High res has not been implemented yet.
That person probably just turned down the settings, such as screen percentage. Heres one of my pictures, for you all to compare:
Doesn't it worry you a bit, that something like having high textures enabled is still not an available option yet?
Granted, it may have a lot to do with the fact that the game is basically a lagfest even at LOW settings. But still... we're a month away, aren't we?
