IT is scary to think that this is the incredible craze in gaming right now. There is literally millions playing the different farm games and all are pretty much the same..People build a farm, they buy fertilizer with real money, they try to steal from each others farms.I guess it must be a sort of prestige thing going on here because as you will see in this video the game is horrendous graphic wise and really does not offer much for game play at all.
This particular game is actually at the top graphically wise, many versions are worse yet. This is basically to prove that numbers mean NOTHING,it more or less proves there is a lot of weird people out there that will play/do anything as long as it has some kind of competitive edge to it.
Here is another example of Virtualfarm one of the many farm games in Taiwan.

The thing that is amazing is read some of the comments, people actually have the nerve to say the graphics are 4/5 or 5/5 lmao, game play 5/5.this just shows people blatantly lie over any game they play.
The whole point is to prove that basically any game at all,it doesn't matter how cheap or crap it is,it can be the biggest thing going since sliced cheese,it is 90% luck. The other part that makes it work is of course the fact that things like Facebook/Twitter are the big craze and people will play anything that gives them a reason to use them.
Happy Farm is a popular one in both Asia and here in NA,it is an incredible craze to say the least, all because of Facebook/twitter these games would not garner even a look if they were PC or console games. So it is not always about the game ,and in this case it is not about the game at all, maybe 5% game and 95% because of the platform it is played on.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I dont understand Facebook and twitter games. As simple as that. I have a facebook account and I use it to be in touch with friends. When I say friends, I mean friends, not people I add "for the lulz". Hence, I have 11 people in my list and not 200+ like some of my friends do.The term 'friend' is thrown around alot and I think alot of people dont really grasp its true meaning.
There is just something about these online communities that doesnt really compute with me.
If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.
Look at mafia wars, a few of my friends love it. I roll my eyes and play Battlenet or WoW or f2p WAR if I'm really bored.
Dem hibbies! Dey be wrong!
True that the platform they're played on has lead to the massive numbers, and these games would probably be nothing without the platform. But the overall concept of these games works, and could be applied to any virtual world not just facebook in my opinion. The social economic parts of MMO's that were thought to be bad designs of the past and thrown out, could be viable long term gameplay options if they were designed to be.
See you in the dream..
The Fires from heaven, now as cold as ice. A rapid ascension tolls a heavy price.
Anyone want to join my farm in farmville? I only need 1 person to upgrade my farm again!
lol...
Its funny cause its true.
Nothing excites jaded Grandmasters more than a theoretical novelty
You can play it at work. What else needs to be said?
Ok I understand you think the game is horrible and such, but what's the point of even complaining about it? I don't play and I don't plan on it, but if other people like it and play it, so be it. It's there own personal preference and it's free.
Still boggles my mind when people complain about what others like or crap on others fun. Then again this is MMORPG.com and these forums are notorious for the bucket fulls of hate and bigotry.
I'll say it like I always do to people who just hate for the sake of hating something, if you like a game play it, if you don't move on.
Everyone has opinions, but does that make them the universal truth??? NO!
I play minesweeper almost fanatically. Expert - 86 seconds :P
People play in games that are fun for them.
Yeah people play these games because they are simple for them. They dont enjoy or have the time to get involved in accually developing them selves based on skill conception that was first popularized by the D&D games back in the 70's.
However the good thing is that people are palying games...millions of people and this is the most positive thing as far as the gaming industry goes as a whole. And maybe later when they finnally get bored of the monatany of these simpler games then they will become intrested in Real gaming like fantasy mmorpgs and the like..
LOL farmvillesecrets.cc
Facebook games are the only games that I can play at work during breaks, lunch, down time, or out at sea. Other than that I would never ever play them.
agreed
but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....
Okay, I don't play these kinds of games but I'm going to take the OP as an invitation to be a complete prick....
I want you to look at the title of this web page. It says MMORPG right? Grinding, farming, interacting with alleged people in a socially consticted environment as a proxy for actual human interaction, etc. Notice how those bullet points fit perfectly with the game you're bashing. Sure, yours is a bit prettier and it costs a flate fee, but it's basically the same shit when you break it all down.
Seriously, you do away with 90% of what you call content in an MMORPG and still have a passable game that caters to this community. Give people three character classes (tank, healer, DPS), some randomly generated terrain, dungeons and loot to play with.... Hell, you could replace all the mosters with 3D models of colored ballon animals that disperse loot and XP (in the form of candy) when they pop and still basically have the same damn game as whatever MMORPG you happen to be playing at the moment. To be honest, you might actually have a BETTER game than whatever MMORPG you happen to be playing at the moment.
And admit it. You've played a Harvest Moon game at least once before right? So these social games rip off a classic, critically aclaimed franchise. Kind of like every damn RPG made after 1995. Kind of like the current MMORPG king.
But keep telling yourself that farming raid instances with people you barely know is somehow more "elite" than Farmville. Who knows? You might actually convince yourself that it is.
OT. my best in expert is only 166 sec (damn, I thought I was good) but I gave up on speed and found a more challenging metric: win %. I found that my game improved drastically if I forgot about speed and just tried to see how often I could win at all.
Like others have said many people do not a want or seekout deep involving game . They prefer games Mind sweeper, teteris, solitare etc. To them it is more relaxing and calming, I think, then engaging. Being ADHD I am about the 1000000% opposite of those people.
