Just wanted to see why others are interested in this game. For me, it looks like its going to make questing fun again after i got so sick of games that had the 'go kill boars/bears/bats/whatever other animal you can thing of' questing. To me this game offers something new! i love the idea that i will have reasons for doing things, and choices to make. its what keeps me attracted at the moment.
heres hoping its a good game that last a while

Theres alot to you reply requests. I think the best reply I can give atm is i want my Star Wars story with my mmo. Its being done right by a good company.
(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH raises plunger in salute to Bioware.)
All my opinions are just that..opinions. If you like my opinions..coolness.If you dont like my opinion....I really dont care.
Playing: ESO, WOT, Smite, and Marvel Heroes
Its a kotor mmo. Whats there not to nerdgasm about?
If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.
I am just looking forward to an mmo where my friends and I can take part in quests with a purpose other than loot.
its star wars and a bioware game
I'm a SW geek and my fav games have been made by bioware
its a no brainer for me
It offers the Hero engine! By Simutronics!
If you know anything about them or this engine. Then... thats all you need to know to want to play this game. End of story.
It won't be anything like SWG and it isn't being made by SOE. That offers a lot for me right there.
Currently Playing: World of Warcraft
I have no idea what this game offers to me, since i don't know anything about it, just silly class names(Call it hard-onwillier, who cares?)
One person says TOR is gonna make questing fun. How the quests will work? How does this guy know?
We know this game has... uhm... lotsa "story". Well i can tell baudy stories, im not gonna claim i made MMO quests fun. And we know that in this game people in it are talkie.
How do these insignificant details suggest him that quests are gonna be fun?

It's called common sense, basic knowledge, any other word for "not stupid". Taking a MMO adding BioWares KOTOR system of moral choices and adding that to a fully voiced MMO that is suppose to be bigger then all of their previous work combined I get the idea that not having to read chat boxes that pop up out of thin air and not getting "kill 10 pigs" quests that this games quest system may be fun.

This is why i said questing will be fun again for me. emphasis on the me. i got sick and tired of questing that only invovled killing certain number of mobs all over the place. Everything i have seen so far on this game indicates that a story that is well thought out, and voice acted, with choices me as the player has to make, will make questing fun again for me. Hopefully

Think dragonage with multiplayer support. its essentially a single player game that you can play as part of a group with friends if you want. It will be entertaining, unless they keep adding more content though, it might have problems. its not a bad idea, it does seem lately that people do seem to prefer to go the solo route, which this game seems to support more than most of the others.
I think that's correct - it may be, and this is my opinion, that it's MMO aspects are actually the weakest aspects of SW:TOR but that the KOTOR elements, renewed and re-engerised, save the game.
Major failure of most MMORPG's post WOW.. is WOW, they have the population and what mmo is fun with only a handful of peps playing.
Minor failure of most MMORPG's TOO MANY! They even tried to make one mmo to rule them all, and that game suck the big one as well. (unless you like killing boars)
Bioware will try something nobody has seen in awhile in a MMO (if ever), indepth story line branching out like trailer park christmas, missions that require more brains then brawn attitude, hopfully they will incorporate more of a team work gameplay rather then the rambo kill'em all aspect.
If anyone has a chance to syfin the wow population, Bioware is their name. Let's just hope they don't pull a Sony and change formats to please a small crowd.
I liked Kotor and I have played both 1 and 2. However, I have always thought that making an MMO of the KOTOR sort of a game where lore and story are prominent parts was a horrible idea as the attention given to an individual player in an MMORPG, where thousands play, are minimal.
What is bothering me more is that the producer, Bioware is being too "political" about this game...They are acting as if this game will be the game of the decade...*WoW*....
I am sure they have almost over 90% of the content and the game done but they are releasing individual content into small bits and fragments for market purposes...Remember how long they took to tell people about all of the classes while STO released all of them at once, not that I'm a fan of STO...They are doing this because they want to take as long as possible and thus, make it more anticipated and wanted amongst gamers, a market strategy, not that they are overly busy developing it. BTW, they havent even released all of the planets yet while it is pretty obvious that all of them have been thoroughly made..
I laugh at the small previews they give at game festivals of an unfinished game and show small pieces of the content here and there while most of the game is done...I hate how they are being so political...I laugh at how Bioware shut the website down the day they opened Beta registration and faked traffic...This was so it would show to the entire MMORPG community how wanted SWTOR is...
Wow Bioware...you have to remember that you are just a gaming company, not a political party, your job is to satisfy us gamers, not to manipulate the gaming community acting so deviously because it just DOESNT suit a decent gaming company. and you have to stop doing it and become honest with all of the KOTOR lovers..Personally I wince and become engrossed when I think of how deceitful something as trivial as a gaming company can become..which is why it shouldn't become.
PS: I have been wanting to say this for a while why is why I even bothered making an account, which shouldn't fool you as I have been following everything since the beginning.
Bioware + star wars + mmorpg = profit?
More then enough reason for me to buy it, Im not even following it, every bioware game has been an auto purchase for me, and ive yet to be dissapointed.
