Hmm, I see 3 games that have the potential of becoming hits:
Star wars:TOR. Bioware poops gold,every game they ever made has sold well. SW is a very popular IP so the game will most likely become huge. It is however not unlikely that most of the players will be new to the MMO genre, many Bioware fans are not into MMOs right now but will most likely buy this game anyways, Blizzard made a similar thing with Wow where they got Blizzards massive fanbase to start in the genre.
Guildwars 2: (Arenanet) I think this game will be the largest MMO of it's time. It's graphics engine is programmed by Jeff Strain (Diablo, Warcraft 3, GW and the engine for Wow), he is one of the best in the business. The idea with dynamic quests and a fully persistent world will make this MMO into something different from current games. The graphics will be beutiful (see the movies in the link) but should run fine on any normal computers.
It also wont have any monthly fees (or item-shops).
World of darkness online (CCP/White wolf): This will be the first gothic horror MMO. CCP have already quite a few fans with Eve and White wolf have many PnP RPGers as fans. The idea of using both experienced MMO devs and experienced PnP devs in the same game is great and will probably give very different experience from other games. The only worry I have is that most of the vampire players will be teenage girls who try to play Twilight instead or WoD.
These games will probably not come out until 2011, maybe late 2010 but don't bet any money on that. However do I see no other game that is so far in development that have the same chance of becoming a huge hit, possibly DCU since DC have many fans and I could think to play the jokers henchman myself... There are other games in development with potential to be large, like Salvatores & MCfairlines (Drizzt/Spawn) Copernicus, whatever Bethesda and Blizzard is up to and maybe a few others. Maybe even Cryptics Neverwinter nights online. But all this games wont release until earliest 2012, probably later.
The only game of 201 that could be huge is probably STO and I doubt Cryptic can pull it off, Star trek is probably the hardest IP to make into a MMO you can find, with the exception of Zelaznys "Amber".

Wow, impressive. Except for the fact that all MMO AI is retarded, only DF and GW have at least tried.
I would say GWs AI is better, mostly because of how smart the henchmens there are, the mobs are probably a little dumber but not much.

I like the look of TERA: The Exiled Realm of Arborea. The graphics are nice. Admittedly thats all I'm basing it on.
