Overview
It seems many games these days are seeking to hearken back to a golden era of open PvP that many of us first knew in Ultima Online. Not satisfied with "carebear" servers that provide no player to player risk, or do so but with incredible cushioning to the victim, many games in recent years have sought to rekindle the flame of open-world PvP where no one is safe. R.O.H.A.N.: Blood Feud is one of these games; seeking to provide inspiring PvP combat without padded walls. Whether that has been achieved, however, is up for significant debate.

The MMORPG industry is in desperate need of an innovative Western game, one which doesn't have elves carrying large glowing phalluses (aka swords) and men who don't all look like women.
"The audio of the game is not so enthralling, unfortunately. Combat sounds, while accurate enough, become tedious while grinding. There is no background music or ambiance to accompany a character on their hunt or adventures; not a single wolf howl or bird song, not a single stirring tune or even a generic looped song. Now, some (most?) players turn these options off, but to not even have the option to gain immersion in your game world - especially when the lore already fails to serve in that regard - leaves another hollow ringing shell."
well i cant comment on ur review gameplay-wise, since my character is only lvl 12...but u said there were no sounds ? how come ? ROHAN has a beautiful audio system, i often just stand in the forest and listen to the birds singing around me, hearing the wolves roaring, i can hear not only my footsteps but the footsteps of the animals around me...there must be something wrong with ur audio setting if u heard nothing. this was the first game where i didnt switch off the sounds, as they were lovely and appealing.
Isn't there any left handed people in Korea?
Why is it that you can never change the right hand movement key setup in games from Asia?

While ROHAN may not be the best game. It does have a lot of interesting features that new MMOs should look at.
I remember trying Rohan and it was pretty good to me for a Free To Play. I think I will give it another try since I am no longer subbed to any PTP game right now. Requim and Rohan should give me my mmo fix to something good comes out.
I installed this game some time back a while ago...as I remember all kinds of weird stuff started happening to my computer afterward. Can't recall exactly at this time, but I know it caused me not trust it and I immediately uninstalled. ????????
Getting old is mandatory...growing up is optional.
I have downloaded and played this game with no problems before. The concept of the game mostly revolves around pvp, especially the fact that when someone PKs youm you can tele to that person for vengeance. It's ok i guess but too much of a grindfest. grinding starts as low as level 30... ouch.

I must have read that review incorrectly, only one negative i read was class imbalance? That would be every mmo in existence. If I wasn't enjoying a P2P right now I would give this a shot.
Good review I think I'll avoid Rohan blood feud myself, pvp and cash shops only work if the cash shops give NO benifit to pvp.

Imho, Rohan has some of the best music found in mmos (yes I have played almost all the p2p ones).
Look at your Rohan game folder, it includes a folder called..... guess what..... MUSIC. And this folder includes what? mp3 music!

Ambiance however, is laking some, I agree.
And what about the crafting? You completely "forgot" to talk about this.

The 4 professions to choose from are:
* Weaponsmith : Create devastating weapons for all classes. Throughout their training, weaponsmiths will learn how to add sockets to weapons they create. These sockets can be filled with Reinforcement Stones created by the Accessory Crafters.
* Armorsmith : Protect you and your allies by making powerful armor. Like weaponsmiths, armorsmiths can socket items they can make.
* Accessory Producer : Impress the ladies and your foes with the shine of your jewelry. Skilled Accessory Crafters will be able to create Enhance Stones which will increase the level and stats of an item.
* Magic Tool Producer : The Magic Tool Crafters create powerful Reinforcement Stones that can be placed into sockets for a certain amount of time.

You also forgot to talk about the fishing, which can also be used to upgrade your gear.
As for the world, it is huge open and seamless - no small areas with constant zoning like Aion, EQ2 or Aoc.... (it's amazing how some f2p games can make seamless worlds while most p2p games fail miserably in that area).
And the PvP is a lot of fun. The balance is like most rock/paper/scissors pvp games - this is not a bad thing imho. Combat has a great feeling to it (this is 1 important point where 90% of the p2p mmos are missing the ball completely), the dynamics, animations are well done.

The only problems I see with this game is the cash shop (you don't need to pay for anything if you don't want to as you can get the shop items with ingame goods thx to the exchange, but you'll have to "work" a lot if you want to be competitive) and it's a grind (on the other hand this is also what some people like).
Considering the lackluster p2p games we currently have on the market, Rohan is a strong 7 for me. For someone who likes the Lineage 2 kind of games, it's definitely a nice game to play while waiting for the "next" big p2p mmo.
The most funny thing is the prob with one of errors at start. It was causing CTD and ppl were mad like hell
. Of cos devs told they're gonna investigate the situation. Players found it was bcuz of conflict with Zone Alarm and guess what...no hotfix nor official word about it to this day. Game with support like that shud end in trash asap ;o
AION = ROHAN with wings, I found in having to pay 50$ for Aion and then pay a monthly payment that it is almost the same as a free game, ROHAN. Does grinding and doing pointless quests to reach the real content of the game sound familiar? Yes because AION and Rohan have this and it's why I don't play either of these games.
This is a truly awful game, its score does not reflect how awful. It would not be too much to ask if a site as respected as this one could find something better to review than this trash.
This game has been out forever and a day, and your just NOW getting around to reviewing it? I can think of of a couple of other F2Ps you could review besides this old game atm.
What about Allods? Has ANYONE even bothered to take a look at this game yet? Im sure theres countless others. As far as Im concerned, your a day late and a dollar short reviewing this dinosaur!
The game may be bad, but the writing in this review is truly attrocious. You guys need to hire a real editor. Mixed metaphors, non-sesnicle similes? Get 'em while they're hot!
Well, how can you review an unreleased game? (Allods in the West)
They could be previewing it or something, but that would be up to them, usually some money from the publisher helps a lot giving some very sugarcoated previews.
I agree it's kinda "late" to review this game, but better than not reviewed I guess...

. Allods is still in Beta so it`ll take another couple of months until you`ll see a Review of it. Also I do hope they`ll fix the melee combat a bit since its kinda flawed atm.
As to ROHAN ... good game but a guy with Money will kick your butt over and over.
