I need to find the game!

ElduzoElduzo Member Posts: 11

So, I've been playing MMORPGs for a long time... WoW, AoC, WO, RS, SWG, AION, Etc... All Subscription-Based games...

I'm not used to the Free-2-Play system... And, i'm tired of paying for a game for both because they don't need so much money per month, and because economy's not that great atm... So, i ask this community.

I'm  looking for a game with some of these things:

1 -  Good PvEing, I played WoW and I love the Raids, and the Dungeons... I want a game with good PVE!

2 - 3D Graphics, and, if possible, something to match atleast WoW's graphics, which aren't that good... a bit old.

3 - Interesting Lore.

4 - FREE-2-PLAY (This is a must!)

5 - Can have Item-Mall, but please, don't mention a game that's very Item-mall dependant.

6 - Quality, Quality, Quality... I'd prefer a game that you guys could ensure it is fun, and interesting to play!

NOTE: I mentioned all the MMORPGs I've played above... But I didn't list Guild Wars which is a game I played, and kinda liked...

Thank you and enjoy this new year of 2010,

Elduzo!

For a game that is out, you could try The Chronicles of Spellborn. I didn't like it much, but you may.

For F2Ps, I've tried all the "great" ones, and they all seem to fall short. Allods is on the way to release and has a lot of promise for a F2P.

RoM actually isn't a horrible game, but it is cash shop dependent.

Sig so that badges don't eat my posts.

Thank you very much, I'll make my priority to try Allods Online then, and then possibly TCS, I've heard alot of Allods.

I would try TCoS over allods but do how you like:)

Does TCoS have good PvEing? If so what kind of PvEing, High-End Raids? Small-Group Instances? Solo-Bosses?

I can tell you about wonderland online, but don't have the graphic features that you want, is not very dependant of the IM (i been playing for free without buying an IM item, anyway if you need an item you can buy it from anyone cause most of them are tradeable), have good PvE (very hard in some quests) and have a turn based combat. Is fun to play at least for me.

Really, guys, you need to learn:

P2P - Interesting lore, no item mall dependency, quality insured (of course, not everyone wants some of that "quality").

F2P - Not so interesting lore, only source of income coming from item mall dependency and quality could be lacking due to the fact that it was developed on a MINIMAL BUDGET.

I mean, you could try the new release of Endless Ages, which everything you can pay for can be gained without paying for it and it doesnt take forever, but other than that, you're pretty screwed.

It seems that you need to do your research aswell, no offense... Guild Wars has one of the best Lores of any MMORPG, Quality's pretty good and no Item Mall. As I said above, I still play GW But am looking into something new.

Anyway, for now, I've tried Allods Online and loved it... The Lore's not that bad... Astral Ships system is awsome, and the combat just needs a few adjustments... Graphics are good, World's as beautiful as a MMORPG World can get.

    Thank you for the help.

Allods is in my opinion, the by far best f2p mmorpg in the classic-style genre(WoW/Aion/WO style etc.)

But, i played Guild Wars for 3 years intensive and its my obvious recommendation.

It does not only has the best (not imo!) pvp, but also a very rich pve, which is i think also better then the one from WoW, if you don't care that you can't express your skill-e-penis trough your armor.

You still have to buy Guild Wars and as such, it is exempt from being clumped in with the F2Ps. Commonly, however, it's called B2P.

Then there's the whole debate that GW isn't really an MMORPG. I have to wonder why White Knight Chronicles isn't considered and MMORPG when GW and WKC pretty much have the same setup. =P

True... True... Guild Wars is a CORPG,  but I heard Guild Wars 2 is going to be a pure MMORPG (The thing that doesn't make GW A MMORPG, is that it's Instanced non-persistent world... But GW2 is!).

    You confirm?

Yeah, they've confirmed it and everything. Staying B2P as well, so I'll probably buy it. I kinda want to play a Charr. >.> xD
