Well....i've been wondering how do you get a better robot? I've been stuck with my sucky 1 for quite awhile and i've been increasing time and space and that other skill.

    You must buy a new nano to get a better robot.

    They can be found in the nano section of any basic store.  Increasing your skills allows to buy a better one.  It does not make the robot more powerful.

    Also, be sure if you want to fight and stuff, get good pistols.  A great combo tat gives you as lot of things when you equip them are, the Solar-powered tinker pistol, which you have to make, and the Original Electorunem.  They add NCU and all that good stuff, and help you get your tradeskill skills up so you can builkd more stuff and stuff.  And the Engineer Hat is good too, takeawhile to make but its an awesome hat.

    Hmm how do I build stuff is a pretty open ended question...

    No question though that engi's are right near the top along with traders when it comes to building stuff.

    The best guide I can give you for building stuff can be found on http://www.anarchyarcanum.com

    They have a bunch of guides for various things you can build as an engi. You can't build very many good items early on, as those guides will tell you.  So don't get too frustrated early on...obviously you can't build the best items until you get up there in skill.  Then again keep in mind it doesn't shut you out totally, either.

    Before you check that out, the basic way to build stuff is through the tradeskill window(accessible by hitting shift&T) Throw two items in those windows that pop up, and it will tell you A)If it makes anything and B)If it does, how much skill does it take.  The guides will talk about combining items and using various tools...that's how you use them.

    I still remember back in beta when bots were so bugged I couldn't even use mine and I was afraid of going after anything higher than light green because I knew I was going to get whacked, and heaven forbid anything else agroed image
