At the very least I want to try this game. I don't care if it's an MMO or just a multiplayer thing it still looks fun. It's been a while since I played some action games and this seems like it would entertain for at least a little bit.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

It has a grind, but it's not your typical korean grind...this game is definitely meant for the casual gamer - while hardcore gamers can still have fun. You can get to the max lvl 50 in weeks if you wanted to. What's so "next gen" about it is its gameplay, you have to time everything...movement, attacks etc. It's beautiful!
Looking at the clip, it looks like a diablo clone. I did not see one thing next gen about it. If you are going to do a clip about a new game you should show what separates it from the rest of the pack, this clip did no such thing, it was the same ole, same ole.

What the hell kind of comparison is that? Diablo clone? Can you explain that to me?
Don't pay some of people any any mind Gary. You did a great job of showcase the game and it has inched ahead Tera on my list of games from your video but being as look like it will free to play i won't choose between.
I have couple question to ask.
1.How instanced is it ?
2.How many people max per group, what is the largest raid group?
3.How is the pvp so far?
4.How is the pve does it feel repetitive Dynasty warrior style?

1.How instanced is it ?
It is extremely instanced. All the PvE areas i have run into so far are small dungeons that take about 20-30 minutes to complete. From what i have experienced there is normally 1 dungeon for ever 2 or 3 levels. You basically just grind this dungeon over and over again till you open the next level.
The Cities are open social zones basically like normal capital cities.
2.How many people max per group, what is the largest raid group?
Not totally sure, but its small from what I remember.
3.How is the pvp so far?
Think there is only arena pvp. A global agenda type system would be a cool addition to the game pvp wise though.
4.How is the pve does it feel repetitive Dynasty warrior style?
Only played dynasty warriors for 10 minutes so hard to tell.
It can get a little redundant but is not that bad. Always news skills to open up and it is a fun hack and slash. I really do enjoy the combat system.
5.How is the grind?
You are going to repeat the dungeons a few times for each level so can be somewhat bad but the dungeons are fun and leveling is kind of fast.

Sure
1. It's 100% instanced besides the towns - somewhat like guild wars. Although I do wish it was free roaming, I still prefer this game over other free roaming games.
2. Right now it's 4 people per group, however Guild vs Guild has more I believe.
3. The pvp is awesome! It's an arena based pvp and it's 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or Guild vs Guild, but our guild leader doesn't think we're ready for GvG yet so we haven't done it haha. In pvp, it truly takes a strategy to win, as a scout, my weakness is ranged, while melee classes are rather easy for me. However, with practice you can down almost any class - but that's what's so great about it - it requires time to learn your opponent's class and play style (it's first to 3 wins in pvp). You and your opponent's health is multiplied by a variable to make the game more interesting. Also, Hangame reduces certain spells/skills in pvp to make the game more fair. For example, a ranger can't constantly shoot his bow in the air as he jumps back like he can in PvE - that would truly be unfair against a poor assassin! Like I said, it requires strategy - you have to know when to strike, know when to counter, and when to get the hell out of the way!
4. There are so many different instances and each instance has 4 different level difficulties - each with a different map and enemy style, that no, I wouldn't say so...with the exception of a couple levels having to repeat the same instance more than the usual amount - at say lvl 23-25 for example - tedious. The good thing though, is as your level increases, the level gap between instances decreases. For example, the first instance is lvl 1-4, while the second is lvl 4-7, yet, in the 30s, one is lvl 35-37, while the next is lvl 36-38. The bosses are truly exceptional in this game, and the enemies get a lot tougher - because of this, I haven't been repetitively discouraged yet (still lvl 41 right now). Additionally, there are numerous types of enemies, from giant lizard that crawl up from under the ground to teleporting assholes who never know when to give up.
5. I wouldn't change the grind at all (I would only add maybe 1 instance at say lvl 23 etc.). While it takes time to level, it's nothing compared to the standard korean mmo. The quests give absurd amounts of xp as well as the bosses - if you consistently play, your lvl 50 is only weeks away from your grasp.
Another "lobby" mmo , they should rename it to massive lobby online role playing game... this game is an online game it's just not an mmo.. really sucks there are no real mmos anymore.
World of Warcraft is a proof that MMORPG quality should affect schedule/budget and not the other way around.
This game could not do what it does if it was free roaming. Real time hack and slash combat like this would blow up a server if it was open world. Best you can do real time combat would be mortal online, tcos, darkfall or FE. They do it pretty well but it is clunky and unresponsive.

I get that, I'm just an angry troll that games like that are considered as "mmo".. I wish that there was separation between online games and mmos.
World of Warcraft is a proof that MMORPG quality should affect schedule/budget and not the other way around.
Call me crazy, but this actually looks good. Honestly, I don't care if it's a "lobby MMO", mainly because I didn't mind when GW did it and guess what? It worked. Only that IS bothering me is why he's holding a bow in one hand and his sword in the other one? Wouldn't it make more sense to, ya know, SHEATH the bow or sword?
And gary, how's the game running for you? I mean, your PC speccs and stuff.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
That game will kill tera online before he is born. I cant wait. The action, the momentum, i still wonder how great it would be to pvp, the movement, the dodge mechanism, how cool the monsters look, how stylish the players can be.
What is even more great, woman characters dont look like hentai girls like other korean games try to do(look at blade and soul or tera online with their lame big boobs and shirt stuff that give you the feeling that you can see all) Character model in that game look realistic Animation are the greatest.
OP said there is no grind like other korean games use to do. That game will be the next big thing. The next best mmorpg ever.

The difference is tera won't be a lobby game and that's a pretty big difference since you have a real world were to wander around.
C9 and Mabinogi: Heroes are both lobby/map based while TERA is an open world game. So saying that C9 will kill TERA is dumb. Also atm we dont know if C9 will be F2P or P2P.

Also remember reading about TERA Online, the user will have to manually aim the cursor in the direction of your target(s), unlike most MMO's that have the less immersive "point-n-click/auto-lock method".
Here's another f2p Korean grinder that looks interesting... video is long, but there's an interesting looking pvp battle towards the 2nd half of the video. Thanks to the Unreal3 graphics engine, this has that Tera "Next Gen." look to it.
Looks mildly interesting. But it seems like its banking on people buying it for the graphics alone.
The gameplay looks like it borrowed too heavily from mid 90s side scrolling beat-em-up arcade games. Having throws and juggle combos in an MMO is interesting but how long until the novelty of it wears thin?
Unfortunately, with only 1 race and 4 classes(which are gender locked) there is little in the way of customization. In the character creator the options for hair length and facila tattoos were neat though.
Lastly, after looking at the keyboard and mouse controls this is most definitely a game I would not even consider playing without a controller.

Here we go again...another funny criticism...
Side scrolling adventure...that's what you're comparing C9 to? What?!
Ok i have no idea how you got the 1 race and 4 classes...there's currently 3 starting classes and at lvl 25 you choose a second class, thus 9 classes in all.
However, the Witchblade starting class (thus, soon to be 12 classes) is about to be added.

The physical customization is great - especially the facial tattoo variety.
The skill customization is ok, could be better, but its not awful.
After reading the your last comment, I suggest you go play a console game, my friend...
