New Year, New Comp

So the New Year is upon us! I have decided to build a new gaming rig each month (from the 20th till end of month) and post pics of the process plus the result. I know this may not be of great interest to you, the reader, but it gets better! These builds will be based off the feedback from you, my fellow MMORPG readers (and lurkers such as myself ;). But wait! It gets better! At the end of every month I will donate this PC to the Children's Craniofacial Association to be offered as a monthly reward from them. This foundation has a special place in my heart. My cousins daughter was born with this and Treacher Collins diseases. While it has been hard it has also been in a blessing in disguise. I would be very appreciative if everyone would take a minute out of their lives to check out this disease and see how you can be a part of helping the thousands of children afflicted with it. I am not asking for help getting the components, I just want to involve the MMO community in something that I feel is worth educating the general populace about. Now on to the design! To start off our first build lets begin with the base idea. What would all of you my fellow MMORPGians be interested to build?

- Case: Thermaltake Kandalf Black Chassis
- CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz (OC'd 4.2GHz on Water Cooling)
- Memory: Mushkin 8Gb (4x 2Gb) DDR3 1600Mhz
- HDD: Dual Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM
- GFX: (2) XFX Radeon HD 5870 in CrossFire - New upgrade! :)

kids so gaming computer lol.  You can pretty much do all of the above (media, videos etc) with a mid ranged gamer.  As not to break the budget, since you are going to build a few of em, stick with a smaller version you have in your sig.  AMD 945, 720 or even the $99 550x4 with a good 770 chipset mobo, 4 gigs of ram, a 5770 or 4870 or even a 4850.  the PSU, HD, case and such just stick with what newegg has on sale lol

Not familiar with this disease but if you  are doing this for these kids then god bless you!
